"You didn't have to come over, Cuddy. I'm fine now."
"House, 你 blacked out in the middle of a differential. Then 你 blacked out again when 你 were with a patient...It seems like what we hoped wouldn't happen has..."
"You think this is from what I did to try and save Amber?"
"We knew there could be bad side effects, irreparable damage to your cognitive skills and brain functions."
House shook his head and sat down on his sofa.
"It's been seven months and I've been fine."
Cuddy sat down 下一个 to him.

House leaned back against the cushion.
"Maybe it's the Vicodan finally getting to me."
"Maybe."
House looked at Cuddy and could see the fear in her eyes.
"If I'm not afraid then 你 shouldn't be either."
"Your my friend, House. If I don't worry for 你 then who will?"
House looked down at his knee to see Cuddy's hand caressing it.
"I'm tired."
"Oh, well go ahead get some rest. I'll take the sofa."
House stood up and shook his head in agreement.
"Goodnight, Cuddy."
"Goodnight, House."
House wandered to his bedroom and fell under his blue sheets.

The moonlight reflected on the 墙 near his window. It was supposed to be a rainy night but it was surprisingly clear.
House stared up at his ceiling unable to find solace in the silent room. He got out of 床, 床上 and ventured back into the living room.

He saw Cuddy curled up under a blanket listening to his ipod. He nudged her shoulder.
"House? What's wrong?"

Cuddy looked down at their entwined hands.
"Yeah, I miss you."
She looked up to find House's eyes focused intently on hers.
House took his other hand and placed it against her 心 beat.
Cuddy looked down startled 由 the action but then leaned against his palm.
"At first I thought 你 were copping another feel."
"No. This is where I should have put my hand before...It's racing." He 说 with a grin.
Cuddy smiled and placed her own hand against his 心 beat.
"Yeah, yours too."
House moved his hand from her 心 beat to her waist and pulled her closer to him. She went willingly. Cuddy placed her hand on his waist as well.
"What is this, House?"
"I don't know." He 说 as he kissed her softly on the mouth.
"I just need you." He 说 as he leaned his forehead against hers. Cuddy moved her hands to his chest.
"You've never 说 that before and meant it."
House kissed her forehead.
"I mean it now."
Cuddy let out a sigh and softly pulled out of his grasp and stood up. House watched her in confusion.
"What's wrong, Cuddy?"
"It's always like this with 你 and me. It's always about pain and fear and loss."
"Yeah, it is those things." House 说 standing up in front of her.
"...Because we are in pain, and we're afraid of being swallowed up 由 it, and we have both 迷失 so much. But this right here, 你 and me, this is about something else. This is something strong and soft and beautiful and dark but completely real." He 说 curling his arm around her before she could react.
"Love." Cuddy 说 in a whisper.
House smiled warmly as he pulled her face close to his.
"Love." He replied in agreement.
Cuddy's eyes were watering at the sudden confession.
House brought his mouth over hers before anymore could be said. Cuddy wrapped both arms around him.

After a few moments of 接吻 the two broke apart.House put his hand out for Cuddy to take.
"You want to go to 床, 床上 now?" Cuddy asked with a smirk.
"I think it's time. Don't you?" He 说 with a smile.
Cuddy placed her hand in his. House led them back to his bedroom.
