"Here's you're Binky, Rachel." Cuddy 说 as she placed the little stuffed animal against her daughter.
"Already using baby language, I see."
Cuddy turned around to see House wearing his patented wolfish grin.
"What are 你 doing here?" She asked angrily.
"Free food. Free booze. Do I really need to explain this?"
Wilson quickly made an escape to the 厨房 when he saw Cuddy's glare turn to him.
"Wilson, invited you."
"He always invites me."
"But 你 never come except this 年 when I'm here."
House took a 座位 下一个 to Cuddy and placed the gift bag on her lap.
"What is this?"
"Another 图, 无花果 leaf."
Cuddy dug into the bag to find a complete set of Baby Einstein dvd's. Her eyes went wide with surprise.
"You got my baby a gift? A real gift?"
"Just doing my part to create the 下一个 great mind of a generation, 或者 atleast a kid that reads before her peers whichever comes first."
Cuddy smiled brightly as she looked over the dvd's.
"This is a pretty expensive series. 你 got her the whole set. 你 didn't have to do this."
"Yeah, I did."
Cuddy feeling a bit flustered decided to change the subject.
"Uh, I left Wilson's present in the car. Would 你 watch her while I go out to get it?"
"Yeah."
Once Cuddy left the apartment, House moved closer to Rachel. She was sucking on her pacifier. Her eyes were open wide and no longer focused on her Binky. She was gazing only at House. House was gazing back. They were caught in some strange conversation without any words.
"Is she mad?" Wilson asked as he came to sit 下一个 to House breaking him from his staring contest.
"She was a little. But don't worry I've already gotten on her good side with Rachel's present. When I give Cuddy her own present she'll probably be 90% okay."
"Why only 90%?"
"Because she's always atleast 10% mad at me. What can I say, I bring out her passion."
Wilson rolled his eyes and kneeled down to stroke Rachel's head.
"Hi, honey. How are you? You're a happy little girl aren't you? Yes 你 are..."
"Ick. Wilson, cut that out. You're infantilizing her."
"Well, she is infant."
"Hey, Gregger! How 你 doing?" Tim suddenly yelled as he came out of the 厨房 with Olivia trailing behind.
House rolled his eyes and inwardly cringed at Tim's nickname for him.
"Tim and Olivia. 你 guys still married, huh?"
Olivia crossed her arms defensively. Tim just laughed.
"You still got that snarky wit of yours. So, how's the peg leg?"
"Still hurts like hell. Thanks for asking."
"There's lots of alcohol, Greg. Maybe 你 should have a drink. Maybe it will help 你 be less of a Scrooge." Olivia stated as she glared.
"Can't really get trashed while I'm watching a baby, but now I get why 你 two don't have kids."
Wilson couldn't help but to laugh. His brother punched him in the arm.
"Shut up, House." Wilson 说 as he rubbed his sore arm.
"Yes, shut up." Olivia 说 as she pulled Tim with her toward the guest bedroom.
"Uh, I guess she's mad at me."
Wilson sighed deeply.
"Wow, it's really getting windy out there." Cuddy announced as she re-entered the apartment carrying two gift bags.
"Well, it's supposed to be below freezing tonight. The snow storm is supposed to get bad tomorrow." Wilson 说 as he put Cuddy's 涂层, 外套 on the rack.
"Why do 你 have two gift bags?" House asked oblivious to the conversation.
Cuddy smiled at him and then went to sit in the recliner.
"I have a present for Wilson and a present for you."
"So, 你 knew I'd come?"
"No. I was going to give it to Wilson to give to you..."
"Well, that's mature."
"Like you're one to talk about maturity." Wilson stated before the two could continue down this dangerous path.
Cuddy handed Wilson his bag. He dug in with the same excitement as a little kid would. Cuddy couldn't hep but chuckle at the sight. House just held his head in shame.
"A Norcel electric shaver kit. I've been wanting one of these. Thanks, Cuddy." Wilson 说 as he got up to hug her.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can I have my gift now?" House asked.
Cuddy stood up and placed the bag behind her.
"Not yet."
"Cuddy, it is 圣诞节 the 日 for opening gifts."
"We need to talk first." She motioned for him to follow her into the kitchen.
"Great." House 说 sarcastically to himself as he limped after her.
