It was three in the morning when the phone started to ring. Wilson tried to ignore it but knew that the person on the other line would persist because only his misanthropic best friend would call him at this early hour.
"House, I was sleeping."
"Lucky you. Nightmares of giant killer mosquitos are keeping me awake."
"The big bad 蚊子 will leave 你 alone if 你 just ask Cuddy out."
"I went to her 首页 and was right there ready to ring the 钟, 贝尔 but I couldn't...I need some 建议 here. I mean this is your thing, Wilson."
"House, 你 have known her for over twenty years if 你 don't realize what 你 want from a relationship with her 由 now then you'll never know. 更多 importantly, if 你 still don't have a clue as to how to make that happen then you're really hopeless."
"Yeah, that's real great 建议 Wilson. Why don't 你 go tell some of the little Cancer kids that Santa isn't real while you're at it."
"Alright, here's my advice, at work today go talk to her alone in her office. Tell her that 你 can't stop thinking about her and 你 want to try going out."
"Couldn't 你 do it for me?"
"House, I know this is scary for 你 but it's time to be brave."
"...I saw her through her window. She was 阅读 a book..."
"So?"
"She is so at ease with all of this. I can't sleep but she's going on in administrator mode like we never kissed."
"You're worried that you'll make a big declaration and she won't be interested. Believe me, she'll be interested."
"What makes 你 so sure?"
"She made so many rationalizations of why 你 two would never work it gave me the impression that she has thought about 你 in that way. Anyway, I've always thought she loved you."
"Do 你 think I 爱情 her?"
"Only 你 know the answer to that, but the fact that 你 are wondering shows that she's 更多 than just a passing fancy...Look, 你 two are the most stubborn people on earth but 你 get each other. Find some happiness, House."
"Maybe 你 have something. Maybe I'll talk to her...Goodnight, Wilson."

When does 爱情 become something we need, rather than something we want? 爱情 was seen as something special a long time ago. Now 爱情 is what we are expected to have with us everyday of our lives. 爱情 is common currency when 你 are a teenager, but turns to worthless pennies the older 你 get. Do we not care about the substance of what 爱情 was and not what it has been made into today 由 commercialisation from American 电影院 and 电视 commercials and soap operas? Only when we experience 爱情 for real, can we 评论 and judge others who are in Love. 爱情 means something different to everyone. Not two people’s feeling of 爱情 is the same. Why do we generalize, rationalize and compartmentalize Love? 爱情 is and will continue to be an enigma. Only a handful of people will ever unlock it and witness its true beauty and essence. The essence we all crave.
Love.
Love.
