Cuddy: There’s…nothing wrong with you.
(Cuddy closed the door behind her, and unbuttoned her 涂层, 外套 and took it off before sitting on House’s sofa.)
Amber: Oh come on. 你 can’t figure this out for yourself?
(Amber was sitting 下一个 to House on the 钢琴 stool.)
House: I know.
Cuddy: 你 know what it is?
House: I know what it isn’t. I know that…
Amber: Tell her.
Cuddy: It’s okay. 你 don’t have to…
Amber: You do.
House: I should…and I will.
(Cuddy stood up and walked towards the piano, sitting where Amber was sitting; 下一个 to House on the 钢琴 stool.)
Cuddy: I can stay tonight…if 你 want me to.
(House stared down at the 钢琴 keys, and reflected in the silence.)
House: Thank you.
--
Cuddy: Tell me what’s going on.
(House looked at Cuddy.)
House: Amber.
Cuddy: Amber?
(House seemed reluctant to say anything more, but House knew this was the best way.)
House: I’m seeing…I have been seeing a hallucination of her.
(Cuddy gave a look of concern at House.)
House: I know it’s me, but…it’s Amber.
Cuddy: House, you’re not superman. You’ve been through a lot this 年 what with Amber and Wilson then with the hostage situation, your father’s death and now Kutner’s suicide. It was bound to fester into something.
House: Yeah well, unless I can get some sleep…I’m not going to be able to snap out of it.
(House and Cuddy looked at each other, with sexual tension 你 could cut with a knife.)
Cuddy: Well…err. Do 你 want a drink?
(Cuddy stood up, and walked away from House.)
Cuddy: I know I do.
House: 你 don’t have to stay.
(Cuddy turned around and faced House again.)
Cuddy: I know I don’t have to…but I want to.
(House got up and made his way to the kitchen, whilst Cuddy sat back down on the sofa and kicked off her heels; bringing them up and curled up on the sofa.)
Cuddy: Thanks.
(House brought in a glass, with a large bottle of vodka, wine and 啤酒 for himself.)
Cuddy: 你 offering up a bar?
(House drank some of his beer.)
House: I don’t keep your usual beverage; just whatever gets me drunk the quickest.
(Cuddy poured herself a glass of red wine.)
House: So you’re definitely staying over? What about that kid of yours?
Cuddy: She’s fine. I dropped her off at my mom’s before I came here.
House: So 你 planned to drop by, this wasn’t a spontaneous act.
Cuddy: You’re hallucinating and you’ve got insomnia. I can’t exactly leave 你 alone.
House: Why?
(Cuddy hesitated, whilst House watched her.)
Cuddy: Because…I’m your boss, and 你 can’t do a job properly when 你 haven’t had a good night’s sleep.
House: I’m sure if 你 told everyone else this, they’d believe it. Even Wilson, but you’re here for another reason.
(Cuddy glanced over at House, who was still looking at her.)
Cuddy: That is the only reason.
House: Are 你 sure about that?
Cuddy: I know 你 don’t need looking after; but I was…I was 更多 worried because of Wilson and I just wanted to…I wanted to be here, with you.
House: I know.
(House went to get another beer, and instead of sitting on the lone chair he sat on the sofa with Cuddy.)
House: Move.
(Cuddy moved her feet, and House sat down 下一个 to her.)
Cuddy: Do 你 still see her?
House: Who?
Cuddy: Amber.
(House looked around in a mocking way.)
House: 你 probably scared her away.
Cuddy: I’m sure.
(Cuddy edged towards House a little more, and gave him a kiss.)
House: What was the reason behind that?
(House and Cuddy looked into each others eye’s before they kissed passionately for the 秒 time.)

When does 爱情 become something we need, rather than something we want? 爱情 was seen as something special a long time ago. Now 爱情 is what we are expected to have with us everyday of our lives. 爱情 is common currency when 你 are a teenager, but turns to worthless pennies the older 你 get. Do we not care about the substance of what 爱情 was and not what it has been made into today 由 commercialisation from American 电影院 and 电视 commercials and soap operas? Only when we experience 爱情 for real, can we 评论 and judge others who are in Love. 爱情 means something different to everyone. Not two people’s feeling of 爱情 is the same. Why do we generalize, rationalize and compartmentalize Love? 爱情 is and will continue to be an enigma. Only a handful of people will ever unlock it and witness its true beauty and essence. The essence we all crave.
Love.
Love.
