He had 说 that he'd be there - heck, he 说 that he'd be her father's child. And yet, here she was, sitting on her couch, alone. They had been dating for a few months, and everything had been going sommothly...But...He hadn't called in over a week, and he had been extremely distant at work lately. It was as if he was pulling away from her, and didn't want anything to do with her. Still, however, she waited. He had sent her a text about an 小时 ago, saying that he was coming over...though she hoped, she didn't really believe that he would show.

knock, knock, knock

She basically ran to the door and threw it open, to reveal an extremely nervous-looking Seeley Booth.

"Booth! Hey, come in!" She stepped aside to allow him to enter her apartment. They sat on the 长椅, 沙发 quietly, before Booth began to speak.

"Bones..." he hesitated. "I know that I have not been the best boyfriend lately...but it was all for a good reason. I wish that I hadn't separated myself from you, and I - " he stopped there as her lips descended on his. He kissed back, and she parted her lips slightly so he could have better access to her mouth. Eventually, they broke apart, both left panting for breath. For the first time in a long time, he smiled her 最喜爱的 smile, the one that made her feel like she was going to fly, no matter how irrational the concept was.

"I'm just glad that I've got 你 back," she said, caressing his face gently. Then, he slipped off the 长椅, 沙发 and onto one knee, pulling a small black box from inside his jacket. She gasped, and her left hand covered her mouth, her eyes wide from shock.

"I know that you're against marrige, but i was hoping that, maybe...because of the baby..." he shook his head before starting again. "Basically, this is the reason why I have been so distant lately. I've been thinking constantly about wether 或者 not to do this...but I decided that I will. So, here it goes: Temperance Breannan, my Bones, will 你 marry me?"
