Merry 圣诞节 everyone and especially to all MMADness-Fans, this is my present to you, hope you’ll enjoy it :D
It’s nothing much, just some Christmas-MMADness, short and sweet :)
Set during Minerva’s final 年 at Hogwarts (again ^^)
Albus Dumbledore used to like Christmas. It was a most pleasant occasion to spent time with loved ones and give presents to each other. The world looked much 更多 peaceful covered in white powder especially when one was sitting 下一个 to a warm 火, 消防 with a cup of tea.
Since Albus taught at Hogwarts however his opinion had somewhat changed. At first of course he had enjoyed the 圣诞节 feast and everything, like he had as a student but the teacher’s perspective changed his opinion. As a student he had thought it funny to give cursed presents to Slytherins and to receive some to dispose of before they got you. He had never understood what the teachers had been hot and bothered about but now he did. There was no such thing as being called to the common room of the house that was entrusted to 你 to find dangerously hurt students of yours. Unfortunately students didn’t know when to stop.
“Hurry up, Sir, the curse got her really bad!” Alastor Moody called out in front of him when they hurried through the corridors towards Gryffindor tower. Albus didn’t reply anything but quickened his steps. They reached their destination shortly after and the Fat Lady didn’t even dare asking for the 密码 recognizing the look on the professor’s face. She swung aside and without slowing down Albus entered the common room. The crowd parted to let him through and reviled his praised honour-student Minerva McGonagall. Her head lay on her best friend’s lap and before he was able to fully evaluate the situation Augusta Longbottom explained:
“It must have been a weakening curse, Professor.” Not paying much attention to her statement though he knelt down 下一个 to the head girl. Minerva was conscious but obviously not able to 移动 much.
“I’m sorry, Professor, I should have been 更多 careful…” She spoke weakly.
“It’s quite alright my dear.” He replied. “Can 你 get up?” He realized that it was a stupid 问题 immediately after he had uttered it. Nobody else seemed to notice it though except for Minerva of course. She gave him that look of hers that made him feel like an idiot. She was the only person who had ever been able to do that to him, except for Gellert perhaps. However she chose not to point out how stupid this 问题 was in front of the other students.
“No, I’m afraid I can’t.”
“Well, we should get 你 to the Hospital Wing then.” He concluded and couldn’t help but smile. He had just been 给 the perfect excuse to carry her. Carefully he picked her up from the ground which was something that a proud and stubborn Gryffindor such as Minerva would not have allowed him to do if she was able to 移动 at all. Moody and Longbottom were already 由 his side to accompany their friend but Albus said: “I would appreciate it if 你 two could check that there aren’t any other cursed presents around.” Both 7th-years looked at each other disappointedly but didn’t dare to object. When the professor carried her through the portrait hole he decided to award Slytherin some extra points when he got the chance.
They had passed a couple of corridors when Minerva started laughing.
“You are not really planning on bringing me to the hospital wing are you?” She demanded to know with a mischievous smile.
He looked at her in surprise.
“Excuse me?” She put her arms around his neck so that she’d be easier to carry.
“By now 你 must have realized that I’m faking.” She stated amused and Albus felt entirely stupid for the 秒 time that day. He starred at her in blank surprise. “You can put me down now.” She pointed out but he didn’t react.
“What…”
“Oh please, Albus, 你 can be unbearably ignorant at times.” She replied thus making Albus feel stupid for the third time now. “Christmas is a feast 你 should celebrate with your loved ones, don’t 你 think.”
She leaned 前锋, 期待 and kissed him tenderly. Albus kissed her back once the shock had worn off and smiled against her lips. Maybe 圣诞节 wasn’t that bad after all.
