It was such an amazing ending to the series.

I'm not going to forget it anytime soon.

I read the first one when I was in my "couldn't finish a book phase" so I never got to reading the others. My sister owns them though.

yeah soo sad i cried at the end......I wish there was a 4th book i cant stop thinking about the ending

of course i wouldn't have been satisfied if they had stayed together and one of them had gotten sick and died or something, or if they kept opening holes and creating new spectres. it would have been too horribly selfish of them and that would ruin the whole entire book. a spactacular series needs to have a spectacular and unpredictable ending, even if it is tragic.

will and lyra were together for, what, 2 chapters, then they're like "oh you can't ever see each other again" and i was crying my eyes out! true i can't really think of another ending that it could've been, but they at least could've hinted that they were gonna see each other again, BEFORE they die. it's bugging me, especially since i just finished it for the 1st time last night!

Two things REALLY bothered me: Will and Lyra's seperation and Mrs. Coulter and Lord Asriel dying

I enjoyed it well enough.

I don't think it'd have had as much of an impact if the ending had been happier/fully happy.
