After watching Eclipse, I was so bored with it. Nothing stood out to me in that movie. I didn't laugh, cry, smile, or anything. I just sat there numb, hoping it would end. I don't know if it was the director's fault, but I found Eclipse to be very flat. I wouldn't even give it 1 out of 5 stars.
also i did get bored and frusterated with both bella and edward while i was 1st reading it
I didn't realize how popular it would become in the next year or so - I thought it was a bit of mediocre literature that wouldn't really be noticed and/or acknowledged. Boy, how wrong I was.
And so I became an Anti.
It's confusing, but it happens all the time
Book 1: wtf?
Book 2: Bella you moron!
Book 3: I thought there'd be stuff happening by now.
Book 4: Screw you, Meyer. That's 4 freakin' weeks of my life gone. Thanks a lot.
It didn't improve.
But, when I told my friends everyone was like "NO WAY! Give them a second change! They'll bewitch you!" And they gave me New Moon. After surviving the traumatic expirience, I really did not wanted to continue, so I decided to leave it there. But THEN, for the first time in my life, I met Twilight hating and dissing. And I was like "WTH's going on here, guys, everyone around (but me) is cra-zy about them, and you here cursh 'em! Let's be friends!
But, in case you haven't noticed, drawback is the best kind of advertation. When someone starts saying how bloody awful a book (or anything else) is, then EVERYONE is going to read it and find out. And so did I. I took and read Eclipse and, in this case, I didn't managed to get through the trauma. I gave up halfway the book, in a despeate move to keep me alive from boredom. Really hated it.
However, I wanted to read Breaking Dawn to read about their daught, Renesmee. I had learned my lesson, however: instead of reading the whole monsterpiece, I skipped the *many* boring parts and read a few pages before giving up.
At every two lines, during the reading of all the books, I stoped and started yelling at... the book. Yeah, I was yelling at the book stuff like "DUH! I've guessed this already!" or "Why did that happened now? Why did she did this? Just to show us how awesome she is?" or "What does he think he's doing? Why doesn't anyone stop him?" or... well, anyway, you got the main idea.
And the irony is, I wasn't prejudiced before reading them! I remember I had took a deep breath and told myself to let the books
bewitch' me, and that they might be the best read I ever had, and to let them surprise me. Well, they surprised me: they were worst than I thought.
Then my friend took me to the cinema to see New Moon, it wasn’t as bad as the first movie but not the best film ever made. Then my friend gave me the books and I read them for curiosity: the plot does not exist, Bella is the most boring person I have ever known, the story teaches bad values .. because Bella is dependent by Edward, she attempts suicide because she is alone and can’t do anything without her boyfriend. Then I hate the fact that Meyer has changed all the characteristics of vampires (by copying a lot of things of Vampires Diaries ): the real vampire is Dracula, vampires are bad, have canine teeth and above they don’t shine at the sun, but they die. I prefer Buffy, the Interview with the Vampire and of course Dracula.
I’m a very romantic girl too and I’m attracted by the figure of the vampire: I followed the story of Twilight for "dream" a little bit the perfect guy that will never exist in reality, but after one year I was very tired of Twilight for the reasons I wrote before and then the story is boring and predictable.
I am ashamed to have been a “fan” of Twilight but I have never been like geese who scream when they see a pretty boy .. then the cast can’t play.
I hate when Twihards say: Harry Potter is now the past it will be forgotten because now there is Twilight and this is much better than HP.
I love Harry Potter since I was 6 years .. I am now 15 .. I've never forgotten it, I always love him even more because I grew up with the characters. Harry Potter has changed childhood and adolescence for millions of kids who still follow him. HP will live forever .. it has been more than 10 years and the world has never forgotten it. Twilight is just a fad that in a year or two will be replaced by another frinchising for girls.
Sorry for the long comment but I wanted to tell you my experience. Sorry if I bored you.
