They can't be trusted comletely if they lie all the time, but if you have to lie to a bigger reason, then lie. Like saving someone's life. I suppose that if the ends justify the means you should lie. But only very rarely.

I don't like lies at all, it's never right under any circumstance, best just not to say anything at all!

I agree with Loopyluna96. Not that it's right, but if you absolutely have to lie and it's for a good reason, then I'd say go through with it, but apologize to God for letting it happen. Well, that's what I do anyway, but other than that, I'd say it's absolutely wrong to lie at all.

I think this is the only commandment that I have trouble with. However I am getting better, I rarely do it anymore. The only lies which I agree with are white lies. A white lie is, for example, if someone asks if they look ugly (on the outside) and (white lie) you would say no that he/she is beautiful. If you agreed with that person that person's feelings would be crushed!

Everyone lies, whether its just embellishing the truth, a white lie, or doing it to get attention, its still considered one no matter how big or small it is. It would be kind of hypocritical of me to say i hate people who lie, though i dont like big pointless ones that start of drama, and i dont think anyone does. I think its ok for a person to lie if they have good reasons, like a white lie, or something, and if the ends justify the means.

i know you must never lie, but hey, we are all sinful at the end of the day right?
