(Kurt Hummel, Brittany Pierce, Santana Lopez, and three members of the God Squad were all in the waiting room of the Saint Mercy Hospital with Mr. Karofsky, Dave Karofsky's dad. He was pacing back and forth, worried about his son. A tear fell down his face.)
Mr. Karofsky: God, no. Not my poor son!
Quinn: Sir, what happened to him?
(Kurt, Santana, and Joe looked worried. Brittany was asleep on Santana's shoulder after waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours.)
Mr. Karofsky: Those evil kids...they bullied him.
Kurt: For what? I thought they liked Dave.
Mr. Karofsky (wiping tears away): At school, they placed the word "faggot" on everything he owned. Both of his lockers, his textbooks, his football uniform--everything. They even wrote a stupid song about him and sung it on the P.A. system. (He starts to sob again.) After he came home, he didn't say anything to me. He closed the bedroom door on me. Fourty 分钟 later, I went up there and he...he tried to hang himself.
(Everyone looks at him, shocked. Quinn starts to cry, Sam rubs his forehead, and Joe grows extremely nervous. Mr. Karofsky leaves to get tissue from the men's bathroom. A tear falls from Kurt's face.)
Kurt: This is...this is terrible.
Brittany (snorting, waking up): Huh, did I die?!
Kurt: This is all my fault.
Quinn (wiping away her tears): Don't blame yourself, Kurt.
Kurt: I rejected him when he 说 he wanted to go out...and then I ignored his calls. I'm such a terrible person.
Joe: You're not a terrible person. Dave wouldn't ever think you're that kind of person.
Sam: The guys at his new school are the ones to blame. Dave didn't do this because of you, Kurt.
Kurt (crying): I...I still feel awful.
Santana (patting Kurt's back): He'll be okay, Kurt. Trust me.
(Everyone except Brittany sobs and shows remorse for Dave's father. Brittany looks around, confused.)
Brittany: Is this what the future's supposed to look like? Where are the flying cars and time machines?
Santana: Brittany, not now.

(A couple of days later, Kurt stepped into Dave's hospital room to visit him. Dave seemed calm; however, he felt heavy inside.)
Kurt: I'm so glad you're alive, David.
Dave: Why? I thought 你 hated me. I'm, like, the male version of Santana 或者 something.
Kurt: True, but 你 don't have that much fashion sense.
Dave: I miss her devilish face.
(Beat.)
Dave: Wasn't Mercedes and Sam supposed to be here?
Kurt: Yeah, as well as Quinn and Joe. Unfortunately, they couldn't make it in time. They had a 演出, gig at a local church.
(Dave nodded.)
Kurt: Listen, I just came here to ask if you're going to be okay coming back to school.
Dave: I don't want to go back to school. Did 你 hear about how those guys treated me? They don't even want to be my 老友记 again. My mom also thinks that I have some disease called 'homotitis'.
Kurt: What?
Dave: She thought it could be cured.
Kurt: Being gay isn't something 你 can cure; it's something 你 can embrace. If they won't accept 你 for who 你 are, screw them. If they will, then they'll understand who 你 truly are and get used to it.
Dave: 你 really think so?
Kurt: Yes.
Dave: Kurt, I know 你 have a boyfriend and all. Even though I can't be yours, can we still be friends?
Kurt: Of course we can.
Dave: Thanks.
(They both smile. Suddenly, Kurt receives a call on his cell phone from Mercedes She is driving in her car, and Sam is in the 座位 下一个 to her, holding the phone to her right ear.)
Kurt: Hello?
Mercedes (driving in her car): Um, there's a slight dilemma. It's about Rachel and--
Kurt: Granny tot again?
Mercedes (driving): She kinda forced Finn into marrying her, 或者 she'll kill his mother.
Kurt (growls): Ugh, that bitch!
Dave: Who's on the other line?
Kurt (to Dave): Mercedes. Issue with Pippy Longstocking.
Dave (scoffs): That's not a surprise.
Mercedes (driving): Anyways, she wants to get married in 2 days, and where we're going is pretty far. All of the guests have to stay in this hotel for a couple of nights. Sam, Joe, and I are going there right now.
Kurt: What about Quinn?
Mercedes: She's coming, too. She had to run an errand for her mother. She'll be on her way.
Kurt: Okay, I'll be there, too. Goodbye.
(They both hang up. Kurt makes his way to the door.)
Dave: Leaving early, Kurt?
Kurt: Finn is getting into something crappy, and I have to stop it. I'll be back for 你 soon. Get well, Dave.
Dave: Thanks again.

(Mercedes, Sam, and Joe arrive at the Grande Delux Hotel where Rachel, Finn, and the other guests are waiting impatiently.)
Sam: I don't know about you, but this is really awkward.
Joe: Same.
(The three God Squad members meet up with Rachel in the hallway on the 4th floor. She is making phone calls in three different phones: her father, Leroy's phone, her other father, Hiram's phone, and her own cell phone. She seems to be rushed and stressed out.)
Mercedes (nervously, out loud): Rachel--
Rachel: Don't talk to me right now! I'm making important reservations here! Ugh, can I get one 分钟 where somebody's not interrupting me?!
Mercedes (with an attitude): Damn, don't mean to crap in your coffee.
Joe: Would it be wrong if I 说 she reminds me of my cranky next-door neighbor?
Rachel (in Hiram's phone): No, I don't want yellow roses; I want 粉, 粉色 roses! How many times do I have to tell 你 crazy people?! (She listens through her own cell phone.) Damn it, no! Eight round tables and 4 long, square tables for the bride, groom, and family. Is it hard for 你 to understand?! (She listens through Leroy's phone.) Did I say I wanted sleeves on the bridesmaids dresses?! No! I 说 意大利面 straps! Get it straight!
(After Rachel hangs up on all three phones, she turns to the God Squad, who seem to look very nervous after hearing her scream demands. Rachel looks directly at Sam and Joe, and points at the two guitars waiting 由 a hotel room.)
Rachel: Practice the song I gave 你 guys. 你 two had better not get sick. Do 你 understand me?
Sam and Joe (nervous): Okay.
(Rachel hands Joe a room key, and the boys go in Room 456 to put their clothes away and practice. Rachel then turns to Mercedes.)
Rachel: Go with Sugar, Brittany, and Tina to decorate the main room. If I find one spot to be messed up, I'm going at all four of you!
Mercedes (nervous): Right on it.
Rachel: And where the hell is Quinn?! I'm not gonna wait on her ass!
Mercedes: Quinn had to run an errand. She'll be coming here soon, though.

(Mercedes runs downstairs to the main room. Rachel impatiently picks up her phone and texts Quinn.)
Rachel's text: UR GOING 2 B L8 4 THE GREETING!!! HURRY UP!!!
(Quinn is about 40 miles away from the hotel, driving and trying to make it there on time. She saw the first text Rachel sent and then continued to drive. As she drove, she heard her phone beep over 7 times. Rolling her eyes, Quinn picked the phone up and called Rachel.)
Quinn: What the hell do 你 want?
Rachel: We're all in the 秒 dining hall, waiting for you! Where are you?
Quinn: I'm coming, okay? Just wait!
Rachel: We have no time to wait on you! It'll be over in half an hour.
Quinn: Rachel, I can't stand 你 anymore! You're really annoying, 你 know that?
Rachel: I'm trying to hurry along with the process. Don't 你 understand how important this is to me? I don't even need 你 anyway!
Quinn: I hope your wedding gets crashed!
Rachel: I hope 你 die!
(Frustrated, Quinn hangs up and puts her phone in her purse. Unfortunately, when she looked up, a passing car crashes into hers.)

Rachel's Thoughts: Damn her. I can do without her.
Brittany (to Rachel): Rachel...I accidentally dropped the drinks on the floor. Do 你 have a 扫帚 to sweep the glass with?
(Silence. Rachel gets furious.)
Brittany: Huh...so she does have a mute button.
