Lacey Mosley is the vocalist from Flyleaf, a Texas alt-rock band that's gearing up for their 秒 年 on Korn's Family Values tour. Kidzworld sat down to chat with the southern rocker about life on the road as a rising rock star.

Sindy: So you're just wrapping up the Justice & Mercy Tour? How are 你 feeling?
Lacey Mosley: I feel great.

Sindy: What were the highlights of this latest tour?
Lacey Mosley: I guess that we got to play with people we really wanted to play with. Like, there were a couple of bands that got to tour with us that were from our state, and it was really cool to bring...

When did 你 first realize 你 wanted to sing 或者 be in a band?

My mother did, I'm still deciding actually.
Really?
Well the thing was, my mom was a musician and we were really poor growing up so I never thought this was really possible. So when it all happened it was like...You never know what's going to happen tomorrow so I never thought I would do this for real. I did it for fun, 你 know? It all happened.

How would 你 describe your band's sound?

I guess we're kind of like a heavier, darker kind of rock. I don't really know. We try to make the 音乐 correspond to whatever the story is in the...

Christian teens say they’ll feel comfortable inviting non-Christian 老友记 to hear bands that, like Flyleaf, have had success on mainstream as well as Christian charts. Flyleaf’s 视频 have played on 音乐电视 and VH1. They’ve topped online 粉丝 民意调查 and had songs included in games such as 吉他 Hero 3 and Rock Band.

Before a 最近的 音乐会 in Charlotte, N.C., Decision spoke with lead singer 27-year-old Lacey Mosley about her testimony, as well as the band’s excitement at participating in the Rock the River Tour....

BIO: While many loud rockers reopen old wounds 由 唱歌 about their broken homes and broken hearts, Flyleaf confront past traumas to heal old scars and prove in the process that hope shines brighter than despair.

Flyleaf's self-titled debut album echoes with songs about abuse, neglect, addiction and dysfunction, and messages about overcoming adversity.
