Why have weak women become cool?

Shows like Buffy were pioneers of powerfull yet realistic females but since it ended we've taken a huge step back. Weak women are officially in vouge and strong women are yesterday's news.
In this 文章 I'm going to use 2 流行的 franchises as examples but the problem is widely spread, these examples are just 2 of many. The one's I'll be using are two very 流行的 franchises for young women. Harry Potter and Twilight.
