New feature?

DarkSarcasm I think the F4 have been experimenting with images... I've seen it happen a couple times over the last few days, but only with stuff papa uploaded. Now it's happening to more people, but I doubt that it's supposed to be that way. I'm sure they'll fix it.

DarkSarcasm Here's what I think is happening: The blanks that send you back to your updates happen when you select images and then leave without actually uploading. (You have to select your images, then provide a title/description/credit/keywords for EACH INDIVIDUAL IMAGE.) Expect your updates to be absolutely flooded as people try to check out the new uploader, see how much work it is, then give up. That's what I did, and judging by my updates, I'm not the only one. If there was a box to check to apply the title/credit/description/keywords to all images in a batch, then be able to edit specific ones before actually uploading, [b]that[/b] would be very useful. This just seems like a way to discourage users from uploading images. If Fanpop no longer wants users to share images, just say so. Don't make us jump through hoops. Ain't nobody got time for that.

charmeddexter I'm having the same problem.

lucy32 This is actually a disaster. I like pop quizzes best of all, but the images have always been an essential part of Fanpop experience. I'm seriously considering turning them off in my updates. Way to discourage uploading copyrighted images, F4. This site's usability is steadily decreasing, and I used to love it so much.

cliff Thanks for the thoughts, DarkSarcasm. Indeed we built out a new image uploader last night and there are some back end settings to keep draft images from showing up in clubs until the user hits the All Done button. However, the updates feature wasn't updated until this morning (it is the weekend, after all :). The image drafts should be filtered out from all updates now, and we're updating the database now so that the updates page sizes are consistent. >>Way to discourage uploading copyrighted images, F4.
