I guess you're already kind of resolved about this, but I thought I'd tell 你 my standing on it anyway.

If I receive messages and 墙 posts asking for me to 加入 spots 或者 'fan' content from Fanpoppers who I have had no prior contact with, and I'm busy, I simply ignore their pleas, with the 安全 assumption that they've sent them to dozens of people, and even if I didn't want to upset them 由 being non-responsive, they wouldn't notice.
However, when I have nothing on my hands (Fanpop-wise), I tend to check out their content and see if it's any good, and if I think it contributes to the club well,...

or: "Basic information about removing your account"

Special thanks to link, our 潮流粉丝俱乐部 guinea pig. (or should I say lab rat?)

Removing your own account is a pretty new feature, many people may not be aware of it yet.
If 你 go to Edit Profile and scroll all the way down, you'll find:
If you'd like to remove your account, click here.

Now what does this mean?

If 你 删除 your account, 你 must know that:
Your contributions will not be deleted.

All your images, links, comments, 论坛 posts, 墙 posts, 回复 remain on fanpop, 下一个 to your username.
If 你 click on that 用户名 however, 你 will be...

The 潮流粉丝俱乐部 website has been around for quite a few years now- 3 years in fact, and whilst it is still relatively unknown compared to the likes of Myspace, 脸谱 and the so-called phenomenon known as Twitter, it is still for me THE website that I pay a visit to on a regular basis.

Fanpop was formerly a small relatively unknown website, whose number of members have grown, 月 由 month, 年 由 year.

With features such as uploading images, submitting website 链接 to other 文章 and 你 Tube 视频 to 写作 articles, opinion pieces and posting your works of art and creating trivia questions,...

Well, I started using 潮流粉丝俱乐部 back in May 2007, and since then I see how the community keeps increasing in numbers which is great. I haven't been the most active user for a while now, but as I 说 somewhere else, I've always loved the site and therefore I come back every once in a while to spend some time fanpopping.

There is something I've noticed lately, that is obviously hard to control as the amount of users grows, but I thought I would point it out. What I noticed is a serious misunderstanding of the idea behind the "props" feature.

~ Let's start with the basics, according to the Online...

The concept of the 支持 is wonderful. 潮流粉丝俱乐部 is a user based site and users should have the ability to reward others for their hard work. I also agree with the idea behind 支持 Day. It should serve as a reminder to all users to give that reward. However, the 支持 system has become flawed. Very flawed. I happened upon a user 个人资料 and saw several props. I looked to see when the user started Fanpopping and saw that it had only been two months. Wow! This person must have added tons of content. So I looked at the activity. No 链接 had been added, no videos, no 图片 (mind you, the 个人资料 had...

I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some 视频 and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".

"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created 由 an already existing 潮流粉丝俱乐部 member to skew the results of a pick 或者 an argument in their favor. I have read things 发布 由 other Fanpoppers suggesting their existence in the past, but hadn't knowingly spotted any for myself. Tonight I believe I spotted three different people doing...

Have 你 noticed that people on this site add lots and lots of things and gain load's of 粉丝 then out of nowhere are never adding again 或者 only add now and then. Look through your 粉丝 列表 and see who is still adding and praise them for there loyalty and praise even 更多 或者 even 支持 them for their work, they all deserve it.

由 the way this is my first soapbox
 what it says above
what it says above
Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring 或者 annoying. Here is a 列表 of steps to help 你 out.

1. Try to have 更多 than three 答案 if possible. If the 问题 is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither 或者 Katy.

2.Always have pictures for the 问题 if it isn't a yes, no, 或者 maybe question. Pictures bring in 更多 粉丝 and make the picks 更多 interesting.

3. Try to ask 问题 that people haven't already asked and 问题 that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.

Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If 你 feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I have a pet peeve.

As a writer, I have found my stuff 发布 on other websites without my permission, and sometimes without so much as a mention that it was MY article... 或者 a link back to the original. This ticks me off, and it is illegal to do so.

I have not come across this on 潮流粉丝俱乐部 with 文章 yet, but I have seen it numerous times on images.

Some of the people I adore the most are even doing it. I have to assume innocence here and figure some folks just don't know... so I'ma tell ya ;)

Credit. Credit. Credit. The option to add the 照片 credit when 你 提交 an image is there for a reason....

 Why are 密码 so important?
Why are keywords so important?
What are keywords?

Why should I use them?

How can 密码 help me?

Keywords are 标签 that 你 place on the content 你 提交 to 潮流粉丝俱乐部 so that other 粉丝 can find it. 你 don't need to use a lot of them, just the relevant ones. You'll want to use words that describe what's in the content. Who is in it, what episode it's from, etc.

Example:
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book

This example is very simple. It's an 图标 from the 显示 邪恶力量 [keyword], the subject is Dean [keyword], it's from episode 4x18 [keyword] 'The Monster at the End of This Book' [keyword]....

Please don't hate me. I know I shouldn't be wasting an 文章 太空 写作 this. I mean many people rated tp1992's 文章 low, but I wanted to take out my fustrations somewhere.
I just noticed today that in one of my favourite spots I am no longer number 1. I wouldn't be so bothered if it weren't for this:

"Journeyman" videos in the travel spot. *sigh* (image credit to Cinders)
Ok, this is getting a tweee bit ridiculous. And before I start off, I know this has been discussed before, I'm just refreshing everybody's mind.
Yesterday, I was fanpoping. I come across the link spot- And went to videos. link is what I saw. There were 苹果 pie 视频 there. 提交 由 Hulu.
link are some 图片 由 other fanpopers reporting this.

Hulu's 视频 should NOT be done 由 a webcrawler. (or whatever 你 call it) Dave, either have a manual team do hulu's videos, 或者 dont do it at all.

EDIT: as amazondebs says in the comments, 潮流粉丝俱乐部 isen't even getting paid for hulu's videos. What is the purpose of having them here?

(Another) EDIT: 更多 of this maddness. and in link spot!
