Andrew Garfield Confronts Paparazzi on Stroll with Emma Stone

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield hold hands while taking a stroll around the East Village neighborhood on Monday morning (June 23) in New York City.

The 30-year-old actor seemed to get a little annoyed with the attention and decided to confront a paparazzo. This comes just days after Emma, 25, took matter into her own hands and had a chat with some photographers on the street.

The cute couple also used the paparazzi to help raise awareness for some of their favorite charities last week by holding signs in front of their faces.

LOVE them so much. I can see them together 50 years later like Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward. I wish the paparazzi would just leave them alone. They should not have to stop going to their regular favorite places just because those creeps are taking their pictures.

what a dumb comment! they are allowed a private life just like the rest of us. It’s not like its once in a while. The paps know where they live now and stalk them every day which is very unfair. Paparazzi yell all kinds of nasty things at celebs when taking their pics. So it’s easy to understand why they would be upset.

Finally, the hat is off! Nice to see his hair is growing back quickly! :) I’m sure they understand the role of the paps, but EVERY single day, it’s a bit much, I can’t imagine having stalkers chasing me around all over the city, just to get 1000 of the same shots of me just…walking. I’d go bonkers. And he’s just talking to the paps, he’s never rude, never gets violent, he’s just frustrated, and it’s understandable. Anyways, he only has a few more weeks of tolerating the pesky paps before he moves to Taiwan to film the Scorsese movie, bet he can’t wait!

Could I clone an Andrew for myself? That’s my only wish in life.

I actually agree with @agent38 but I would not word it the way he/she did. Being in the business comes w/ the paps everybody knows that. If you want privacy move out of LA and move somewhere there’s not many of them. It’s just that simple.

His hair grew back. I think he’s growing a beard for the Scorsese movie.

The paparazzi come with the job especially when they willingly signed on to headline a huge comic book movie franchise. The photographers are not going anywhere so better to ignore them than keep giving them a reaction.

sure they can take a few pictures and leave but that’s necer the case they are followed through out the whole day and just because they are actors doesn’t mean they stopped having emotions and that they won’t get annoyed or that they should stop doing the stuff they like and start living isolated imo that’s no way of living plus must of the time paparazzi yell at them incredible nasty things just so they can get a reaction, and being yelled at rude comments is not part of their job

Uh if you live in NYC and your famous expect to have your pic taken. They are both immature and dumb to think the paps here don’t photograph stars. Get real, they have money if they don’t like the attention they could easily relocate and live in less paparazzi zones…it’s not as if these two huge stars have to stay based in NYC. These papas don’t follow them all day because as I said there are stars all over NYC. Those two dweebs could live in Brooklyn, where paps don’t go..(Brooklyn is part of NYC) Paps are not going to follow them there as on the island of NYC.

I love how casual and down to earth Emma and Andrew are. Their desire to stay out of spotlight is also justifiable, they are young, in love, and would like to have a walk without anyone stalking them. It just wouldn’t be fair if they eschewed their favorite places because of the paparazzi.

I wonder how long it will take before these two realize their confrontations won’t change a thing. As someone mentioned, the members of the paparazzi who are desperate for photos will keep hounding these two because they know they can get a reaction out of them. There are much bigger celebrities in the city who ignore the cameras as best they can and continue on with their lives.

Paps follow them everyday and it’s wrong! Some of you saying “Well they should stay in the house or move somewhere where there’s no paps.” Like what even? No. Why should they be forced to stay in the house all day or be forced to move somewhere where they don’t want to be? Why can’t we take the side of the celebrity and understand that this is a pain for them instead of taking the side of stalkers like the paps who follow them day in and day out.

There are two types of celebs I hate; those who love & crave paparazzi and those who despise them to the point of looking like trendy hipster martyrs. Sorry but Andrew & Emma are the latter.

paps making the news (money too) and some of us give the negative comments about them, some of us love them. for me, they’re just ordinary people.. they also have right to do their activity without being followed every time they strolling in NYC street. if you don’t like them, just leave this site, don’t read the news. If you like them, just hope for the best to this lovely relationship. simple. grow up, people.
