My Skyrim Rules!

Looking for a deeper Skyrim experience? Here are some rules that can improve your role-playing experience.

问题 can help deepen your experience when you're not busy completing quests. Is there a particular race 或者 type of person that your character doesn't particularly like? Does your character have any weird habits like only eating raw meat 或者 traveling only at night? Are they religious? Do 你 place offerings at the shrines? Do they have a tendency to overindulge in drink 或者 sweetrolls? Do they collect skulls 或者 pottery? There are literally hundreds of 问题 that 你 could ask yourself about your character that will help to define them and make them interesting to play. 由 choosing three 或者 four interesting quirks 你 can breathe life into a character that will sustain 你 for hundreds of hours of immersive role-playing.

Half the pleasure of playing the game is drinking in the landscape, watching the 草 sway in the breeze, watching shadows creep across the rocky ground as the sun makes its way across the sky, staring into the setting sun as it descends on Skyrim's rugged landscape, admiring the silver shimmer of the stars and the majestic rise of Tamriel's twin moons. Take the time to listen to the sound of babbling brooks, bird calls and the haunting melody of the soundtrack.

While engaging in these activities doesn't necessarily do 你 much good from a gameplay perspective, they can work wonders from a role-playing perspective. Making a point of eating a couple of times a 日 and getting a few hours of sleep every night can help make the experience feel 更多 real and less like you're controlling some sort of hologram. Change your outfit once in a while, find a nice girl 或者 boy to settle down with and take the occasional 日 off just to wander around town 或者 go fishing. These breaks in the normal flow of the game add depth and richness to the experience that can't be delivered 由 scripting cut scenes.

1. Hunt/Harvest your own food. Never steal 或者 take from barrels (except for salt piles and the occasional treat etc.) Take drinks/ when wanted.

Don't miss out on the breathtaking sites that Skyrim has to offer. A walk in the woods can turn a routine quest into a memorable journey.

2. Never take take armour from people (They're never the right size.) Make your own armour (or loot from chests.)

3. Never take 'Weak potions' always take 'strong': Poisons, Health, Stamina, Fortify 或者 Magic potions. Make your own potions/poisons from your OWN ingredients. 你 can take fortify/resist potions if 你 can't make stronger ones yourself (try to carry 20 或者 30. Your companion can carry spares for later.)

4.Never steal/take ingredients 或者 食物 (unless they're very rare). 你 can steal/take: Gold, lock picks, and powerful weapons.

5. Mine your own ore/jewels and Chop your own wood.

Waiting when sleeping, crafting, skinning, eating, reading, chopping wood and a number of other activities can be a great way to boost immersion.

6. Sell your OWN potions/poisons/ ingredients/ weapons/ ore/ ingots/apparel/ food/ jewellery/ jewels if 你 have no need to keep them.

7. Get your companion to store:
potions/poisons/ ingredients/pick/wood axes/weapons/ ore/ ingots/apparel/ food/ jewellery/ jewels if 你 want to sell/use them later.

8. Use your house! Store ingredients, food, books, weapons, ore, ingots, jewellery, pickaxes, wood axes and apparel for use 或者 selling later. Only use companions for storing things 你 want them to wear for battle, potions if 你 need to get them whilst in a dungeon. Get them to haul ore, ingots, weapons, axes, armour, ingredients, jewellery, 食物 and anything 你 want to store in your 首页 later 或者 equip in a dungeon (or anywhere.)

Of course 你 can take the rare ebony ingot/gold ingot, salt pile, ingredient/potion/poison, jewellery 或者 gold! :-)

Realistic Roleplaying Tips:

Slow down! 你 don't need to run/jump everywhere. Take a walk in the forests.
If 你 do run while 你 travel, take the occasional rest.
Only travel in good weather. If 你 must travel in poor weather, wear appropriate attire. Consider running to find a camp 或者 cave to wait out the storm.
If 你 come across a village, don't keep going. Unless you're doing something important, stop by. See how the livestock and townspeople are doing.
Spend nights in inns 或者 taverns. If 你 are caught in the wilderness at night, stop 由 the side of the road as if 你 were camping.
For players...

“Oh, Arnbjorn, 你 idiot,” Fenia groaned.
Four days had passed since the Argonian incident. We were going much slower than we should be, since Arnbjorn was still hurt.
I sighed. Every single day, Fenia griped about how stupid it was to attack a traveler.
“But he was threatening Astrid!” protested Arnbjorn.
“He was not. He was being a bit of a pervert, but other than that, nothing.”
Arnbjorn sat still as Fenia inspected his wound. It was on his calf, and a bit infected.
“Well, the wound’s getting better…” Fenia smiled.
“How much farther is Falkreath, anyway?” I asked curiously....
