The memory haunted me as I was parking to go to a party with my good friend.

"You're sure 你 wanna come?" Bridgette asked her as I got out of my car and started approaching the hotel.

"Yeah, so, Duncan's gonna be here. It doesn't matter, we are mature adults. It's not like he's gonna like...try to make us get back together 或者 something." I said.

"Are 你 gonna sing?"

"No...but I am gonna dance and get crazy. I mean, this is one of Geoff's parties."

We laughed and walked into the large hotel and straight to the ballroom where the party was being held.

It was crowded as hell in there. I saw Duncan and he was flirting with some girl, and it made me the most pissed off girl in the room when he looked straight at me, then kissed the other chick.

I walked out of the party and out into the hall. I pressed my back against a 墙 and fell down and put my head between my knees.

"You okay?" I heard the infamous voice ask me.

Duncan's POV:

After I walked away from Courtney that girl I kissed earlier showed up...what was her name...oh, her name's Karolina 或者 Kristina 或者 something of that nature...

"Duncan! Come on, let's go dance 或者 something!" She was obviously wasted 更多 than a lotta people here.

"Hey....you! I'm sorry, but I gotta go!" I held up my police badge, "duty calls."

Now, I know what you're thinking! I was a total delinquent, and now I'm like my folks. A police officer. Long story short, I wanted to be with Courtney without jaily interruptions. And my parents had a good relationship with some police people, so I could stay with her.

Look where we are now...

"Hehe, I always loved a man in uniform," She purred as she put her hands on my chest.

"Woah there, chickie, haha...gotta go!" I 说 as I speed walked off into the hall to think.

I saw Courtney sitting there with her head down and I asked, "You okay?"

She raised her head for a moment, grimaced, then put her head back down, "What the hell do 你 want, Duncan?" She spat the words as if they were a wretched curse at me.

Now that made me even 更多 wanting to annoy the heck out of her. And yet it made me even 更多 scared of her, not that I'd ever give her that pride.

"Princess," I 说 the name so sincerely and sweetly that it was hard not to give me a chance. A trait of mine that I can't say I hated.

"Don't 你 dare 'princess' me! I'm no longer your princess. 你 ruined that when 你 kissed that damn girl!"

"This isn't worth the fight, we had that fight months ago. Now is the time when I make a failed attempt to tell 你 that I 爱情 你 and I don't wanna hurt you, but 你 don't believe me. Then I make another failed attempt to prove it, but 你 still don't. Then I have to 吻乐队（Kiss） 你 to 显示 你 that I really care.

"And when 你 still don't believe me, 或者 at least 你 act like 你 don't, 你 tell me to screw off and then 你 walk away. But ten 分钟 later you'll come back and 吻乐队（Kiss） me.

"And what tops it all off is that, Courtney, I love it when 你 do that. Any other guy would hate it! But me, no, Courtney. I 爱情 你 so much that I deal with it, and I 爱情 it. God, how I 爱情 to mess with you!

"Courtney, damn it, I 爱情 you! I always freaking will and there is nothing 你 can do to stop it."

Courtney stood there, speechless, and she sighed, "You're wrong on one thing. This time, I'm not coming back to 吻乐队（Kiss） you. I'm not coming back at all," She turned around from me and walked back into the party.

I mumbled back to myself, "Yeah, and 你 说 that last time."

I walked into the lobby of the hotel and sat down in the waiting area that overlooked Niagara Falls. I even have to admit that it was beautiful.

It reminded me of back at TDWT, where it all broke down.

I meant it, I loved Courtney. All the other girls were just there to edge off the curve of it. 你 know how when you're hungry, and 你 eat something small to curve the edge of your hunger? That's what other girls were for me.

I know it's rude, but Courtney....Courtney...,"Duncan," Courtney's voice said.

I thought she was in my head for a second, but then I looked up and she was standing there, looking all beautiful.

When I 说 nothing she said, "You were right."

"About?" I asked.

"Everything."

"Well? Where's my kiss, Princess?"

She rolled her eyes, and before she kissed me she said, "You 吻乐队（Kiss） one 更多 girl, and I will kill 你 in the sickest ways possible."

I smirked, "I embrace that, Courtney."
