How do 你 celebrate a franchise's 50th anniversary? With a TV movie of course. "Doctor Who" will be celebrated with "An Adventure in 太空 and Time," a TV movie that explores the genesis of "Doctor Who" from its first broadcast on Nov. 23, 1963.
The 90-minute drama will explore all aspects of the science fiction series, including the many personalities who came together to bring the 显示 to life. Mark Gatiss will write "An Adventure In 太空 and Time" with executive producers Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner.
"This is the story of how an unlikely set of brilliant people created a true 电视 original," Gatiss 说 in a statement. "And how an actor -- William Hartnell -- stereotyped in hard-man roles became a hero to millions of children. I've wanted to tell this story for 更多 years than I can remember! To make it happen for 'Doctor Who's' 50th birthday is quite simply a dream come true."
Casting and scheduling have yet to be announced 由 BBC Two.

Discussing Amy's relationship with the Doctor, Karen muses, 'She doesn't take his word as gospel and she's always happy to challenge him. If he tells her to do something then she won't necessarily do it, she might go off and do her own thing which can sometimes create a rift between the two of them! They are best pals though and it's a very up and down relationship because they are both very passionate people.'
Sounds like it might get stormy! Karen agrees, adding, 'They have quite a turbulent relationship but it's also really passionate and they care about each other... It's a great relationship!'
