It has the weakest characters, bad storytelling, and is a very unbalanced film. People are even confused who the main character is. At least all the others have character development, clear story telling, and don't have a lot of filler

Sue me. Pocahontas is my least favorite.

Aesthetically, Pocahontas is mostly great. I love the soundtrack, I like the backgrounds. Stunning. But I think the character designs are boring and bland when compared to a lot of others in the Disney canon. And yes, I know that most Disney movies are unfaithful to their source material. But Pocahontas is not only terribly, horribly inaccurate, it's applied to a living person. And actually, the decedents of her tribe aren't too happy with what Disney did to her. Pocahontas and Anastasia both took people who had no happy endings and were horrible chapters in history, and sugar coated them to the point of insult.

I know that it doesn't bother other people, and that's fine. But as a History major, I don't let that slide. Brave comes second, because it's the least imaginative in the whole Pixar canon.

Anyway... I think it's a shame Sleeping Beauty doesn't get as much credit, and I'm going to say that's because of the main two characters. I recently re-watched Sleeping Beauty and loved it. The music was stunning, the animation was beautiful, and honestly I just adore the fairies and Malificent. They are such awesome characters! Aurora and Phillip ... there is nothing wrong with them they are nice and all, just kind of dull.
I really liked Brave. I thought it was interesting and fun and the story was epic and inventive and the animation was gorgeous and I really enjoyed it!
Pocahontas.... honestly I will say every time I try to watch this movie I end up turning it off because it is SO BORING. I have watched it through a couple of times and besides the animation and music the movie is not that great. Bland characters, story that has been used dozens of times but without anything new added to it. There is nothing 'bad' about the movie, it just has nothing interesting in it that I want to see.

Wow. What just happened? I don't think there's point in me clarifying. But to the rest of you guys, I think we do a good job accepting other peoples points of view in a mature way. WAY better than some other forums I've been to.

I like the Renaissance, but I like Disney's earlier films better. And I do think there is a Renaissance bias here. But I don't get upset about it because we all have our own opinions, right?

not so much that they prefer the other movies but so much that they say that some of the movies suck just because they saw it like what 10 years ago.
