A baby girl is found near the sea 由 a couple who believed they couldn't have children. Taking it as a sign from God, they took the girl in and named her Ariel. A 年 later, the woman gave birth to another daughter, and they named her Belle.

Years later, Belle and Ariel are renowned throughout the town for their beauty and curiosity; and the fact that they are both forbidden from going near the sea. When Ariel does dare venture there one day, she discovers a secret that could tear their whole world apart.
