"Heave, Ho! Heave, ho!" Captain John Smith barked out the orders in sharp precision. The crew of 45 had arrived on the land to find, a strange series of rocks almost guarding the island. They were large and had a strange iridescence quality shining in the weak sunlight pushing through the black clouds. There must have been hundreds all lined up, like a wall, keeping the land pure and intruders out. It had taken several hours and a lot of hard labour but they had finally moved enough of the rocks to have a decent sized entranceway to pass through. Being the captain, John Smith had to be the first one to step through. Cautiously he did, taking small steps.

A misty fog swirled round encircling his body as he kept moving foward. It seemed like something kept trying to push him back, keep him out of this mysterious island. He pushed foward though, and his men one at a time, Thomas taking the lead of them. Suddenly the fog seemed to stop and began retreating. Soon the layout of the island became to become visible and when the last tendrils of fog drifted into obliviation, John Smith stopped and stared.

It was beautiful, a collage of 颜色 and wonders. The 草 was a crisp green, the sky bluer than a robin's egg, all traces of the gray clouds gone, and in the distance was a sparkling turqoise lake, the blue green waters shimmering. As the awe struck men watched, a brillant 彩虹 spread across the sky, all the 颜色 seeming close enough to touch. One of the men muttered a wow under his breath, and the spell broke. "What are we to do first, Captain?" Thomas asked in a hoarse voice afterwards, clearing his throat. John Smith looked around a minute. Usually after arrived on a new land, they would have trees to clear before setting up camp. But their didn't see to be any work here. All they had to do was dig around for some metal- iron, gold, silver, and see if their was any other people around. "I guess we set up camp."

Another 小时 later, the tents were up and some of the men had been sent out for firewood. Thomas came over to John Smith who was sitting on a fallen log staring in the direction of the lake. Now that they had gotten closer, a waterfall was visible, the roar quiet from the distance.
"Beautiful place Captain, is it not?"
"Indeed Thomas."
"Perhaps we'll have good news for the King, when we return."
"Perhaps."
"It would be a beautiful place to live, wouldn't it? It is completely idealistic for anyone, including all those fancy rich ladies in Britain."
"Of course."
Thomas just looked at him for a long minute. "You should go check out the lake over there. Maybe it would take your mind off things."
John Smith had to admit, it was a good idea. "Thank 你 Thomas, I think I will. I'm leaving 你 in charge. Make sure no one fools around and that 晚餐 is cooked on time. I can trust you, can't I?"
"Yes sir. Go on, everything will be fine."

Nodding John Smith got up off his log, and grabbing his helmet, began striding towards the lake. It was a lot farther than it looked, taking at least a good half 小时 of walking. The ground surrounding the area was bare, a contrast to the green 草 everywhere else. Slowly, John Smith walked around the perimeter, admiring the gorgeous crystal clear, green waters, shimmering in the sun. Looking up to the tumbling waterfall, he was reminded of the time Pocahontas and him had jumped off one, holding hands the whole way. Shaking his head, he noticed a group of rocks, way across the lake near the waterfall. And who was that? Squinting through the rushing water he saw a long mane of gorgeous sunset red hair, before there was a splash and the mysterious girl disappeared into the water.
