That was totally ridiculous. I'm so upset. Never before have I thought they made the wrong move on that show....but killing Rita was just wrong. :( Mega unhappy.

Do I think they should have? Absolutely not. Do I think it will provide an interesting storyline? Perhaps, but I'm still upset. :(

I don't know. I think it was powerful storytelling, but I will miss the character.

im with dragonclaws it was a powerful story but the have never let me down before and i dont think they will so im excited to see what they come up for next season. what will happen to astor and cody. how the heck dexter is going to explain what happen at what point of the next season will they find out about dexter cause i dont think they cankeep it for more time.

I haven't decided yet. It was great storytelling, and they can definitely do a lot with it, but I love Julie Benz and her character so much, I'm really going to miss her.

Still, if she had to go, that's the way to do it.

I'm quite torn as to how I feel about this. Rita added a warmth to the show that will definitely be missed, however I see why it was done to set up next season. Odds are Dexter is gonna go on a wild revenge spree (wave goodbye to the code!). It will make for some very dark and gritty material for next season.

I loved Rita so much but killing her off will make next season pretty crazy. She was stability in his life without her man he'll have trouble. It's sad but it'll lead to good plot. I was definitely struggling not to cry.

I think that her death was necessary and kind of foretold by the blood on her wedding dress during season 3. She was a sweetheart, but in all honesty, her death made sense.

I fucking hated that! I loved Rita, the way she loved Dexter and the way she made him felt, how much he was able to do to her. I don't think that without her the show makes any sense... Rita, Debra and kids was what somehow made Dexter still human. But I think that at the biggest part it was about Rita.
I don't think that I'm going to watch season 5... It's already done to me.

I think it was a really awesome plot twist... and my family has always found Rita really whiny and annoying, so we were sort of glad she was off the show. I feel bad for the actress, though - I liked her, but the character was annoying.

I think killing off Rita was a brave and brilliant plot twist that is going to pay dividends in where they can take the story now.

I loved Rita. She was a wonderful mother and wife and a beautiful person. I was depressed all day at work after her death. I will miss her. They show will not be the same with out her.

Yes! Killing Rita was the best idea. OMG!! She got pregnant. Yes, he should have used condoms but she should have been on the pill too. Then she says there are only cons to having the baby but keeps it.(I do not agree with abortion) then they gotta get married. Not like Dexter ever thought that was happening. So then she is always nagging and calling him at work with the baby won't stop crying, the baby has a fever you gotta come home, we gotta buy another house, you gotta spend the weekends bbqing with the neighbors, you gotta sign up for this and that and blah blah blah. Good grief woman, if the baby has a fever take care of it. baths, naked on a blanket, baby aspirin. I know why Paul beat her. I wanted to jump through the screen and slit her throat myself.
