Is 辩论 Necessary

hi, okay i asked this 问题 because ive read a few 图书 and met a few people that aren't okay with debate, now i didn't purposefully go "looking" for 图书 about debate, but little facts just get stuck in your head over time, figures :P

so, some 流行的 opinions is that debates only cause the other person to hold 更多 strongly to their views

debates can break people's spirit if proven wrong

debates can lead in separating of people

there is no "winner" in a 辩论 meaning people are the type not to let out on their beliefs easy, 或者 meaning, even if 你 do "win" it's not really beneficial to anyone

there's only one thing that i have "for" 辩论 which is that debates r fun ^ ^
and that's all that i have in favor of debating, sorry :\ oh wait wait, i think they're educational somewhat, so here goes

Some people like to 辩论 because it a learning experience on how to argue a point.

Some people like to 辩论 because they want to educate people who are not as informed as they should be on an issue 或者 point

Others, really just like talking about everything and everything so they use 辩论 as a way to let out their opinions 或者 review the opinion of others

nope i am one, i am naturally not the shapest nail in the shed but its nice to be to learn how to 辩论 and see the do and don't of it.

This is not always the case; every 辩论 is different and every 辩论 has a different outcome. Besides, what's wrong with holding 更多 strongly to your views?

Actually, it's 更多 likely to be arguments that do that. Arguments are like debates, but... angrier.

Whether someone wins, 或者 not, each person will have gained 更多 knowledge and 更多 things to consider. So, really, it's beneficial to everyone.

Some people don't like debates because they're far too easily offended. It's not good to be far too easily offended.

*nods* true on the last one, some people do get very easily offended, it's okay to hold strongly to your veiws if they're very important to you, but being open minded and accepting other veiws is also good

however if i am talking about something that will make me upset, like...say, someone is in favor of murder and cannibalism and i am against, if in the end they have 更多 points and they *win* it can be very upseting, 你 know what i mean, something that 你 believe strongly in and then someone else just hates
