Does Nagito really have no remorse when it comes to deaths and killings?
For me, it seems like he genuinely gets saddened 由 each death and loss but immediately tries to cope with it and cheer everyone up with his messed-up belief in Hope and Despair. Does that really mean he doesn't care about his classmates?
I mean, it would make sense considering his entire life has been filled with losses and deaths being followed 由 good luck and riches, so I wouldn't be surprised if he just didn't know how to cope with the immense sadness he feels every time so he just uses the idea of Hope as a coping mechanism and means to cheer everyone up. It would explain why he gets confused when no one else agrees with him because death and loss are almost like second-nature to him due to his luck cycle and he would think that that's obvious 或者 normal to everyone else.
And I wouldn't be surprised if deep down he genuinely hates murder and deaths but suppresses his emotions due to his self-loathing and strong beliefs that "It's okay, this is for hope after all. I have to do it, for everyone's hope."
I'm not entirely sure myself. And 由 the way, I am not trying to defend his actions in any way, just analyzing his character
