As the darkness fell among the small S.C.A.M.P.E.R. that was hovering over the 甜点 on the border of Texas, Hoagie announced that they were stopping for the night. He landed the S.C.A.M.P.E.R. safely near a tree. Maddy couldn't handle sleeping in the dessert. She went berserk.
"NO!" Maddy cried. "We have to keep going!"
"Go to bed." Megan called from underneath the chairs. (She did not want any part of Hoagie tonight)
"C'mon, Maddy!" Val called from where she and Minerva were. "You can sleep with us!" Maddy trotted over to Minerva and Val. They were up all night talking. (Well, at least everyone got peace and quiet the following morning.)

In the morning, Hoagie woke everyone (except Maddy, Val, and Minerva) up with a horn. David actually fell back asleep. Hoagie kicked him. (I don't think Hoagie and David have a good relationship) David decided to just text Christian. It was to help him get used to not having video games. 由 10:00 a.m., Kuki was starting to get a little strange.
"When are we getting there?" Kuki asked.
"At 2:00." Hoagie said. He looked off of a GPS.
"2:00!? I CAN'T WAIT TILL 2:00!" Kuki shrieked. Kiki leaned in close to Abby.
"Does she do this a lot?" Kiki whispered to Abby.
"No, only when Wally leaves for a trip 或者 something. I've noticed THAT pattern." Abby replied. She was trying to listen to music. It was the only thing that kept her calm.
"OH!" Kiki yelled. She went over and whispered in David, Christian, Hoagie, Abby, and Megan's ears her plan. Everyone nodded.
"Um, Kuki." Kiki said. "I've gotta a secret on how to get there faster." Kuki stopped running around and went over to Kiki.
"TELL ME! TELL ME!" Kuki blurted. Kiki put her finger over Kuki's mouth.
"Sh! I'll tell you." Kiki said. "First, I need 你 to lie down on the floor." Kuki was confused.
"Lie down on the floor?" Kuki asked.
"LIE DOWN!" Kiki yelled. Kuki jumped and quickly laid down on the floor. Kiki went over towards where Val was sleeping. Kuki got wide-eyed.
"VAL!" Kiki cried. "KUKI'S GOT YOUR 彩虹 MONKEY!" Val shot up and ran towards Kuki. Right then, David pinched her shoulder and Val passed out. But not before she waved her hand right above Kuki. Kuki fell into a deep sleep. But not TOO deep. Cuz when everyone crouched around Kuki, she began to talk.
"OK, Kuki." Megan began. "What's on your mind right now?" Kuki tossed a bit, but then she began saying stuff.
"I wanna get to Texas! NOW!" Kuki screamed.
"Why??" Christian asked.
"C- c- cuz that's where I need to be." Kuki said. Now, everyone was confused.
"Why do 你 need to be there?" Kiki asked.
"Because, if I'm not there, Wally might be sad." Kuki said. This made sense, but didn't give them the answers.
"Why will Wally be sad?" Abby asked.
"Shh.... It's a secret...." Kuki said. Kiki jumped up.
"A SECRET? I DON'T WANT NO FRIGGIN' SECRET! I WANT ANSWERS!" Kiki yelled. Abby pulled her down.
"Fine..." Kuki said.
Everyone crouched in.
"After the dance, me and Wally went up in my room and-" Kuki was interrupted.
"TMI! TMI TMI!" David hollered. (This is what David shouts whenever something gets personal. Get why he thinks this is 'personal'?)
"Shut up!" Kiki said. Kuki continued.
"We made an agreement... Me and Wally."
"What agreement?" Megan asked. About 10,00 "SHHHH!!!!!"'s scared the living daylights out of Megan. So, she shut up.
"An agreement where we'd be..." Kuki's nose sniffed the air. Everyone's eyes widened. Kuki sprang up. "Kiki! ARE 你 WEARING 彩虹 MONKEY PERFUME?"
"NOO!!!!" Kiki shouted. "I mean, Yes to your 问题 but NOO!!! because we were so close!"
"What do 你 mean 'Close'?" Kuki asked. Everyone got all guilty.
"UGH! JUST WHAT AGREEMENT DID 你 MAKE WITH WALLY?" Kiki blurted. Kuki was confused. Then, she snapped her fingers.
"That'd we'd 日期 of course!" Kuki said. About six jaws dropped.
