At least in a book with too few details you can still imagine what it's like

I would rather have too many detail's, I could just skim over the parts they add to much details in. In a book with to little details you don't get into the story, you don't like it that much, you don't feel the characters could be real, its just boring!

I'm not really biased either way, but I noticed that in The Lord of The Rings, there are a ton of details, and it's my favorite book. However, in The Chronicles of Narnia, there were hardly any details, and I didn't really care for those books as much.

LotR scared me with al those details.Some of them were uselles.
But history books with not enough details...I hate them!!!

Well sometimes too many details are bad, but mostly it's lake of the details ruins the whole book.

I'd rather drag through tons of detail then be left with a half conjured up scene or character in my mind. Though sometimes too much detail limits the reader's ability to be creative. You've gotta have just the right amount. x)

Because then you're just lost because you can't at all picture what's going on.
