I too saw the movie first and then read the book. Usually, the book is always better than the movie, 或者 vice versa. It is very unusual for a book and a movie to be equally enjoyable. The Princess Bride makes a rare exception. The book is just as great as the movie, and it has 更多 stuff in it than the movie does. (There is a whole chapter on Inigo and Fezzick getting to the pit of despair which is quite intense and entertaining. Unlike in the movie, where they just walk through the 树 and BOOM! They're there.) Read the Princess Bride.
i saw the movie ages 以前 and then read the book years later. i dont remember the movie all that well but im pretty sure its 安全 to say: yes. possibly better since the 写作 style is incredibly funny.
I think the book and the movie are equally great, so 你 definitely won't be wasting your time if 你 read it! I had to read the book for 10th grade English and it ended up being one of my 最喜爱的 图书 ever =] [As well as the movie becoming a 最喜爱的 too!]
