I guess he could have been, but I didn't pick that up. All I saw was that it was cute and very awkward <3

This has been a popular complaint. People feel like Booth was being a complete ass when he was telling Brennan about it and talking to Caroline about how there was 'no missing link there' and all that. Hart Hanson says that it was not their intention to do that at all but many people took it that way.

When I watched the episode the first time, i did kind of sense that Booth was trying to say 'you turned me down, so now look what i have found, haha'. I don't even know if he realized it and did it on purpose but that's how David made it seem..Brennan was obviously crushed when he said 'serious as a heart attack', and it seemed to people that he made no effort to make her feel better...i guess he wasn't supposed to see her make that face (according to HH).

I actually got the opposite impression. I felt like he was trying to prove he had moved on, so they could go back to being friends without the tension. If after all that time there had still been feelings between them out in the open it could have made things very awkward, and possibly put Brennan off staying and working with him. I think he was just desperate to get Brennan to be genuinely comfortable with being around him, and trying to use his new relationship as a way to remove any romantic discomfort and put them firmly back in the friends zone.

We all know it must have been harsh for Brennan to hear, and it was sad to watch, but I did get the impression Booth did it with good intentions for their friendship.

When I saw this scene, I didn't think that he was trying to make a jealous or smth.
But I felt like he was trying to tell her as quickly as possible so that there were no "misunderstanding", ; to be clear on where they both stood.

For me, Booth was trying to tell her that he wasn't at the same place than 7 months ago, that he had moved on (as he kept saying to Sweets later), not to make her feel sad but to let her know that things could work out for them as partners again (his feelings are not in the way anymore)

I don't think that was insensitive because Booth doesn't know that Brennan has feelings for him. I don't think he realized he might have hurt her.

That makes sense guys. Booth was just trying to remove any discomfort there might be and he was trying to let her know that he "has moved on" and they can now work with each other. (we will see how long that works out though haha)

It seems like Brennan wants to know and understand about her partners new relationship is all about. I think it's Booth who's maybe not to sure about it, after all she was staying behind in the middle east and he had to come home for Parker reasons!! I think it was that he just wasn't ready for the surprise visit from Hannah!! He just doesn't know how to react to it but in the end of the episode it looks like he's working on it and want's it too!!!

I don't think he was doing it on purpose i think he was just trying to convince everyone including himself and Bones that he was in love and happy with Hannah even though you can tell he hasn't truly moved on

he would never do that also i thought he avoid Hannah topic in front of her
