It was called Warped Tour 2015 – Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Warped Tour 2015 – Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Pierce the Veil + We Came as Romans Rock New York’s Jones Beach
The summer concert season is upon us which means Warped Tour is in full swing. With 10 stages full of diverse music acts, this is one summer event that young music fans wait for every year. Warped Tour recently invaded Jones Beach during the New York area stop. Some of the heavier rock and metal acts played on the Monster Stage, Shark Stage and Unicorn Stage.
On the Shark Stage, Black Veil Brides were one of the headliners, delivering a crowd pleasing set for those in attendance. Another major act who performed was Asking Alexandria who took the stage with their new frontman Denis Stoff. Stoff is a lot skinnier and a lot less scruffy than ex-singer Danny Worsnop but there’s nothing soft about his voice which did justice to the band’s notable and heavier songs. Fans also got to witness vigorous sets from Blessthefall, August Burns Red and Mallory Knox who kicked things off in the morning.
Escape the Fate headlined the Monster Stage with a forceful performance. Crossfaith, Beartooth and Fit for a King also performed earlier in the day. One of the bands that stole the show was Senses Fail as they donned floral shirts and performed with utter relentlessness. Frontman Buddy Nielsen had magnetic stage presence as he did high kicks, high jumps, somersaults and other acrobatic antics onstage. Silverstein also took the stage beforehand and While She Sleeps completely unleashed with a memorable performance.
The Amity Affliction started their set with their infectious track “Pittsburgh” which everyone in the crowd belted out with force. Even though frontman Joel Birch was feeling ill, the band had one of the most dynamic sets of the day, setting the tone for the Monster Stage.
Lively rockers We Came As Romans were the headliners over on the Unicorn Stage and for good reason. They played the lead single “The World I Used to Know” off of their new self-titled studio album due out July 24. One of the band’s frontmen, Kyle Pavone, took a ride as he surfed the crowd in a little red raft during another new song “Regenerate.” The Unicorn Stage also included an explosive set by Pierce The Veil as well as energetic performances by Memphis May Fire, Miss May I and Attila.
