The 下一个 day, Lydia was at another veterinary clinic to look for a new job. The receptionist told her to wait where she was. Lydia sat and waited. While she was waiting, she noticed someone crying. She asked, "Are 你 okay?" The younger woman said, "I just had to have my dog put to sleep." Lydia said, "I'm sorry to hear that." The younger woman said, "I'll never be happy again." Lydia said, "That's just the grief talking." The younger woman asked, "How do 你 know?" Lydia said, "When my dog, Fluffer Nutter, passed away, I thought I would never be happy again, but things got better with time." The younger woman asked, "How did 你 cope with it?" Lydia said, "Well, I wrote a lot. 写作 down how I feel helps to get those feelings off my chest. I also talked with my 老友记 who also 迷失 pets." The younger woman said, "I think I'll try that." Lydia said, "It just might help." The younger woman asked, "How long should I take to grieve Scout?" Lydia said, "Take as long as 你 need. Don't ever listen to anyone who tells 你 it's time to 移动 on. Only 你 can determine that." The younger woman said, "Thank you, sweet stranger." She gave Lydia a hug. Lydia returned the hug and said, "You're welcome." Dr. Burke, the veterinarian who owned the clinic had been watching. She said, "Wow, Lydia. That was very impressive." Lydia said, "I like making people feel good. It's part of my charm." Dr. Burke asked, "How would 你 like to be the client service specialist?" Lydia asked, "What's that?" Dr. Burke explained, "Well, 你 would comfort clients who lose their pets, 你 could give clients 建议 on training, and 你 could even schedule appointments if need be." Lydia said, "It would be an honor." Dr. Burke said, "Great! 你 can start Monday!" Lydia said, "Thank 你 so much!" She then headed 首页 to tell John, Pattie, Rebecca, Catherine, Marie, and Gavin the good news.
Kayla requested me to write this, so here I go. I'm really sorry for what you're going through right now. I know what it's like to be an outcast, as I am one myself. It's painful and hard, but at the same time, it enables 你 to empathize with other outcasts.
I just would like to remind 你 that no matter what people say 或者 think about 你 或者 your preferences, those are the very things that make 你 special. They are just clearly missing out on what matters most, and that's unconditional love. Don't ever change, Kayla. It would be heartbreaking if 你 did. Always remember that I and your other 老友记 here 爱情 你 for who 你 are.
And remember that 你 are never, ever alone. We're here for 你 and 你 have all our support, especially during difficult times.
Peace and love,
~Kelly 🌟🌟🌟

I know 你 think
You're someone I forgot.
But I haven't forgotten.
I could never forget you.
I'll never forget your smile.
I never saw 你 without it.
I still miss 你 every day.
I'm sorry I took 你 for granted.
I hope 你 can forgive me.
If I could do it all again,
I wouldn't have taken 你 for granted.
I wouldn't have overlooked you.
I would've been a better friend.
I blamed your parents for their negligence,
But blaming them won't bring 你 back.
The reason I hate 枪 is your demise.
The reason I never take 老友记 for granted,
That's also the loss of you.
