"BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE" (2016) Review

Following on the heels of the success of 2013's "MAN OF STEEL", I had expected the Warner Brothers Studios to follow up with another movie about Superman, starring Henry Cavill. To my surprise, the studio had announced another movie featuring Superman, only the comic book character would be sharing 最佳, 返回页首 billing with another from the pages of D.C. Comics.

Warner Brothers had surprised me with the announcement that their 下一个 comic book movie would feature 超人 aka Clark Kent co-starring with none other than 蝙蝠侠 aka millionaire Bruce Wayne....

I miss the days of Batman. 你 might be wondering what that means, because there's plenty of new 蝙蝠侠 content. However, I'm not talking about the dark, violent, anti-social vigilante who fights a clown that was disturbingly violent. I'm talking about the bright, heroic, fun superhero who fought a clown that was delightfully goofy. When I see people talk about who 蝙蝠侠 is and what he's about, they usually describe the darker 蝙蝠侠 from 最近的 decades. It's sad to hear that, because that's not the 蝙蝠侠 that Bill Finger created.

Despite all the advanced storytelling and technology that has come in 最近的 decades, my 最喜爱的 version of 蝙蝠侠 is the original one from 1966. It was the most entertaining 显示 of the 1960's, in addition to being one of the greatest superhero shows of all time. A lot of 蝙蝠侠 粉丝 scoff at this show, because they think it's an outdated joke of the past. However, I believe there's 更多 to this 显示 than just silliness....

June of 2020 is a sad 月 for 蝙蝠侠 months. First, Dennis O'Neil passes away and now, Joel Schumacher has passed away, as well. Joel Schumacher was the director of two 蝙蝠侠 films. He directed 1995's 蝙蝠侠 Forever and 1997's 蝙蝠侠 and Robin. After 蝙蝠侠 and Robin came out, it became common to mock Joel Schumacher and make fun of him. I believe he didn't get the respect he deserved and I'd like to take a moment to reflect on what made Joel Schumacher a good director.

Believe it 或者 not, Tim 伯顿 wasn't a 粉丝 of comics. Although he did like 蝙蝠侠 and the Joker, he wasn't a superhero expert....

"THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" (2012) Review

After a period of seven years, Christopher Nolan's three-movie saga about the D.C. Comics character, Batman, finally came to an end. The saga that began with 2005's "BATMAN BEGINS", ended with 2012's "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES".

This third film, set seven years after 2008's "THE DARK KNIGHT", began with the aerial kidnapping of a nuclear scientist 由 an escaped terrorist named Bane. The scene shifted to Gotham City, where a fund-raiser was being held at Wayne Manor. The only person missing was millionaire Bruce Wayne, who had 给 up his vigilante activities...

蝙蝠侠 Unlimited: Mechs vs. Mutants is part of the 蝙蝠侠 Unlimited film series. The film is made for kids. Despite that there's a lot of fun things for 蝙蝠侠 粉丝 of any age.

Plot Info

The plot focuses on a partnership between the 企鹅 and Mr. Freeze. They have a plan that involves turning other super villains into mutants. Batman, Damian Wayne, and Green 《绿箭侠》 try to save Gotham from 企鹅 and Mr. Freeze's mutants.

Due to being a film that's for young kids the plot is 更多 about action than complexity. However that works out well here. This film is fun. It has plenty of enjoyably cartoonish...
