I don't know why but when people do "Post an anime character that..." I always consider Vocaloid as an anime, even if it's not really animation, because the fan-art is amazing.

Vocaloid is a synthesizer intended for music use, so no, the software is obviously not an anime. But if you mean the mascot characters, they are drawn in an anime/manga style... but I don't think that really counts as Vocaloid as a whole being anime/manga. In the end, they are really just characters that represent a voice! I guess you could call the PV's people make anime, because they are animated...

You can consider it anime all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that it isn't.

I would never call them an anime because their not, but when people ask for an anime character that _ I will use vocaloid characters because they are drawn in the anime style and they do have manga (Hatsune Mix) so I'm okay when people treat them as characters but I'm no okay when say they are an anime because that is obviously very, very, very wrong.

It originated from Japan and the characters are anime style but they are mainly used for music and voice synthesizing there's no specific anime series around them because anime is Japanese animation,I've seen plenty of pictures but no anime series,so I guess it isn't fully an anime..but I tend treat them as anime characters from time to time.

I know there not. It would be cool if they were. Indo know what Vocaloid is though. And they do have a Manga series. And Anime styled video game series. Edit: One thing i do not agree with, is that people will say oh your listening to that Anime music again. If only people knew the difference between Vocaloid and Anime. Trying to explain it is never an easy thing to do sometimes.
