The first series I have watched was either Speed Racer 或者 Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors in the English dubbed version)

The very same here for me. At that time, just like u, I too didn't realize that Speed Racer was one of the early and retro 日本动漫 series

Now I want to say growing up at that time I did not realize that Voltron was an 日本动漫 as well but that would make plenty of sense too. After all 给 the rather distinctive retro-style 动画片 of that series Voltron would definitely be a retro, old-school 日本动漫 series
