日本动漫 is just japanese cartoons, but i think there is a large difference.

日本动漫 is Japanese animation,while 动画片 are Western animation. They're the same. Except 日本动漫 is Japanese and 动画片 are Western.

i think of them as different. both words could be used interchangeably if one wanted to though, as they really mean the same thing. in Japan, "anime" is simply the word for animation, which would apply to Japanese 动画片 as well as western cartoons. outside of Japan, "cartoon" could be used for both of these as well. but i prefer to use the connotations of 日本动漫 = Japanese 动画片 and cartoon = western animation.

as for whether Japanese 动画片 and western 动画片 are the same, no! for one thing, it's easy for an adult to be a 粉丝 of anime, and yet think they're too old for cartoons. i'd prefer that they be judged separately. but for those not in the know, what are 你 going to do?

that is soooo true, 日本动漫 should never be mistaken for cartoon, I mean even if some 动画片 look like animes I can still see the difference

动画片 are 更多 childish and most of the times they are for laughter and enjoyment.
But 日本动漫 covers large number of Genres like Fantasy, Sci-fi, Fighting, Romance, Slice of Life and much more! And it teaches us various things and its 更多 realistic! ^^

日本动漫 ARE cartoons. Pretty much.
I mean "anime" is the Japanese for cartoon/animated 显示 whatever, so that technically yes theyre the same.

Okay i need to explain it:

1. if u watch for ex: Inuyasha, Naruto,Clannad 或者 whatever tell me are they 动画片 and 日本动漫 so of course its the same!

2. why so frustrated? while cant tell the difference of 日本动漫 and cartoons? No, nodon't be bcuz 动画片 sometimes are actually 日本动漫 and 日本动漫 sometimes have 动画片 to.

3. Ex: Black Butler | what happens if u like sebastian 或者 even Ciel-kun are they 动画片 then they're also 日本动漫 | 日本动漫 - 动画片 / 动画片 - 日本动漫 get it?.!

4. Tell me Ed ,Al ,Sebastian, Ciel, Nagisa ,Usui ,Yui,Ui ,Mio ,azusa, ritsu and so on they are 动画片 right but PPL are saying they are 日本动漫 but actually the 日本动漫 are cartoons

5. Ok,Fine sometimes 日本动漫 are real like but ex: 迪士尼 channel they are 动画片 right? but ex: 着魔 they are real like right? so its the same thing as 日本动漫 and 动画片 also do 你 understand Mino1234????

6.So 日本动漫 is Japanese animation.

For me, 动画片 is animation; however, the styles it can be done in vary infinitely. 日本动漫 is a type of cartoon, with only the cultural background causing a difference in how it's done and made. Western 动画片 is another style of cartoon. There are good and bad versions of both, and are the 动画片 of the culture.

It's really just the same word in a different language; why else would people define "anime" as "Japanese cartoons" when trying to explain it to others?

日本动漫 is cartoons. Just Japanese cartoons. 日本动漫 is a type of 动画片 and they are described as Japanese 动画片 when defining the term so yea they are 动画片 and anyone who thinks otherwise is not thinking about this logically in any matter that is good. People like to separate 日本动漫 from 动画片 and other types of 动画片 but they are in fact Japanese cartoons. End of story. If 你 try to tell me otherwise I will conclude 你 are being delusional and cannot be reason with. Others have stated the same thing and btw if 你 get that upset over such a trivial thing 你 really need to chill out.
