I just, they're brothers. I mean, thinking about being with MY brother like that, it's just disturbing.
Besides, Matthew tattooed the 枫, 枫树 leaf on his forehead to try to make him look less like America, so that he wouldn't get beaten up in Alfred's place, and then, Alfred goes and makes him look more like him so Matthew will keep getting beaten up in Alfred's place.
Alfred disrespected Matthew's wishes to the point of defying them when they played baseball, still beating him up after he asked to throw softer, and try to not hit him.
When England took Matthew to first meet America, Little Matty was so excited.... Just to have Alfred say 'Whoa, 你 look like me!' And then he starts to say something, only to open his eyes to see that England and America had begun to walk away.
Matthew ranted for 3 hours about all the flaws in America and made him sit in the corner and cry.
(I have a bunch of personal reasons I prefer not to discuss, besides they're non-canon anyway so they wouldn't count.)
Now, does that sound like 爱情 to you? In any way?
My perspective on their relationship was always that America was the kid with the magnifying glass and Canada was the ant.
My stomach's actually starting to hurt right now, just thinking about it....
