Important Announcement/Update: AJ collaborates with Girls Make Games
We’re thrilled to announce an amazing collaboration with the wonderful AJ Brooks of WWE fame. AJ is a champion both in and out of the ring, fighting to bring more girls into STEM fields. An avid gamer herself, GMG is proud to team up with her to announce the AJ Brooks Scholarship Contest!
To participate, simply send along a one minute video of a game design concept that you would like to bring to life at camp. Be sure to submit your videos no later than May 15th to ajscholar@girlsmakegames.com
Winnergets to attend the Chicago, IL camp at DePaul University free of charge! ($1500 value sponsored by AJ Brooks)
Open to girls ages 11-14.who wish to attend the GMG Chicago 2015 summer camp.
Multiple entries are A-OK.(Up to 1 entry per day for how many days?)
Scholarship is non-transferable.The scholarship may not be transferred or used for any other camp.
Girls Make Games hosts international summer camps, workshops and game jams designed to inspire the next generation of designers, creators, and engineers. Camp attendees are introduced to game design, programming, art, audio/music and entrepreneurship.
The GMG flagship three week camp helps girls ages 11-14 take a creative concept and turn it into a fully functional prototype. Not only do campers have a finished product at the end of the three weeks, they also compete nationally for the top prize, a chance to have their video game developed and published by LearnDistrict, the educational company behind GMG.
Last year, “The Negatives”, from the inaugural Mountain View camp, won grand prize for their game “The Hole Story”, and raised over $31,000 to publish their game, on Kickstarter (learn more here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2020158234/girls-make-games-grand-prize-winner)
Over 20 summer camps are scheduled for this summer!
Welcome to the first and only official site for AJ Brooks, aka WWE\'s AJ Lee, aka Miss April, aka that tiny chick who wears the same Target tank top and ripped jeans everyday (if you\'re a barista at my local Starbucks). Whichever name you may know me by- welcome! I wanted to create this site as a way to interact with all of the amazing girls and guys who have supported me thus far. Here you\'ll find television updates, exclusive photo shoots, and contests. Contests you ask? Heck yeah! Join me in helping out shelter animals in your community and beyond, and win some pretty sweet prizes in the process. How cool is that? I hope this will be a place for my fellow geek gods and goddesses to learn a little more about me, about each other, and about helping those that cannot help themselves. So have fun, explore, and don\'t touch my action figures. Wait... that last one was for houseguests, not virtual guests. Carry on.
Is AJ Lee the figment of some Manga-geek’s adolescent imagination? She’s an avid video gamer, regularly thumbs through comic books and wears the scuffs on her Chuck Taylors with pride. But don’t be fooled. This unpredictable young woman is not as innocent as she looks. Although she stands a petite, 5-foot-2, AJ is a fierce competitor with an energetic, high-flying style that poses a threat to any Diva.
If you would like to donate any photos you may have taken of AJ at Live Events, Chance Meetings or at Fan Signings we welcome all donations. Everyone who sends in photos gets their own category in the gallery for any future photos they might send in to us. The email we use for donations to be sent in is admin@aj-brooks.com
Thanks for visiting & Supporting the site and continuing to show your support for AJ.
