you know what NO, don't lash out or ignore them, the kind thing to do is be firm but kind & say it's over if it's over, don't say maybe if there's really no maybe, if you have feelings & it's really maybe,but only tell the truth don't give false hope but talk about it, some people need closure, they need explanations to understand & be able to move on but really what it boils down to is that the person being dumped was the one who cared/loved the most & you didn't care/love enough to stick/work it out, it's that simple, even though jerks don't want to admit that, they use excuses like you're too clingy/needy, want to spend too much time together & all that cause they are just jerks & wants someone who'll put up with their crap, period!!

you need to just ignore him/her and even say once or twice hey leave me alone we are over. and if they don't get it and they keep following you that means they are a stalker and you need to call the cops right away. you never know what they can do if you get them angry enough.
