There are subtle differences between panic attacks and asthma.

Panic attacks - usually come at times of great stress 或者 fear. It usually starts with your 心 thumping madly, sweating and taking short sharp gasps of air but with the feeling no oxygen is getting in. Your chest tightens but your throat relaxes. 你 may also feel pains in your stomach 或者 back, and possibly in the head as well.
To counter that i was taught to put my hands together from your little finger to the third finger, making a 'mask' shape with your hands. Your thumb should be resting on your jaw line once the 'mask' is in place, and to breathe long and deeply, ten times into the hand.

Asthma attacks - usually when 你 have been doing excersise 或者 concentrating/not concentrating enough on a certain topic of life etc. The throat and chest tightens as though being squeezed and 你 can't feel any air getting to your lungs, but can feel air releasing. To counter that 你 must take an inhaler.

I suggest going to your doctor and asking his advice. He may prescribe 你 another inhaler, 或者 may tell 你 to take antihistamines for allergies as sometimes that works too :)
