As a lot of you may know by now, The Player (as well as The Competitor) has consolidated its media outlet to The Smog, where a slot dedicated to Pokemon Showdown articles will be held there. The Smog provides many resources and a much broader audience, allowing for more growth to expand our content towards faces with different backgrounds and experiences. We also hope to see you guys find your place in other types of articles!

This brings us to Issue #43 of The Smog, where Showdown brings in the table some explicit data about our bots, rating systems, the philosophy of the Room Owner rank, and much more. Check it out!

The Academics room has merged with Debates and Discussions to form Scholastic! If you\'re looking for a place to discuss current affairs or academic topics, chat about student life or just fancy learning something new, swing by!

They\'re also holding a competition to design their new Room intro, so if you\'re experienced with art and/or HTML, let the room staff know and they\'ll work something out. We\'ll appreciate any assistance in that regard, and we\'re likely to announce the winner and runner-ups in the room!
