Disclaimer: *I am on Season 3 Episode 16 and I have not read the books*

I'm going to hope you've read my other 文章 "How I Feel About Stefan, Elena and Damon" so that I can skip the detailed introduction. I have become so aggravated 由 the messy 爱情 'V' going on between the three main characters on The Vampire Diaries. So much so I've decided to write (vent) about it. Obviously the best thing to happen would be the three of them getting over each other and moving on with their lives but we all know that's not going to happen. For argument's sake, I'm going to discuss who I think should be with who. I ship Damon and Elena (not that Elena really deserves Damon's 爱情 but that's besides the point). While I admit I am a little biased when it comes to wanting Damon to have a "happily ever after" I like to make sure I have valid reasons, which I think I do, so here they are:

1. Damon deserves to be happy for once, darn it! He didn't want to become a vampire and for his whole life he has only gotten judged 由 his little brother - who has no room to do so.
2. Just about everything he puts Elena through is out of love, he cares about her. Despite making poor decisions, he means well.
3. He sucks up the fact that she loves Stefan and that Stefan loves her. Whereas Stefan just gets little jealousy rages towards Damon.
4. He's honest with her. He's never really made her beat around the 衬套, 布什 for the truth.
5. I believe Damon would change and heal if Elena would be with him. He's in so much emotional turmoil all the time, she would ease it.
6. No matter how angry Elena gets with him, in the end he forgives and forgets.

7. Deep down, Elena knows she loves Damon. She won't let herself admit it though because she can't let Stefan go. Which really isn't fair to anyone.
8. This is to back up #7 If Elena didn't 爱情 Damon, she would have kicked him to the curb a long time 以前 and we know she isn't the kind of person to just use him for personal gain. 你 can't hide your feelings forever, Elena.
9. When Damon kissed Elena, she didn't pull back.
10. When they aren't avoiding impending doom, Elena lets herself go with Damon. She has a little fun with him and shows a sliver of real depth.
11. Let's be honest, the only thing holding her back from throwing herself at him is that she won't let Stefan go for some odd reason.
12. She's been able to trust Damon 更多 than Stefan for the most part.

Here's why Stefan shouldn't be/doesn't deserve to be with Elena:
1. As I've stated in my 前一个 article, Stefan's a liar. He's 给 Elena a hard time about giving the truth from the very beginning.
2. While both he and Damon can be labeled murderers (and I'm not saying this is okay 或者 a great reason) we know who's worse: Stefan.
3. He's toying with her. Hinting that he still loves her and then turns his back again - talk about rude.
4. If he had ever really loved her, he would have left her alone from the beginning. The only reason Damon got involved is because of Stefan.
5. Honestly he can't be trusted. We've all seen how he can't control himself when it comes to human blood. Damon has never showed that problem.
6. I still can't get over the fact of how poorly he treated his brother all those years when he ruined Damon's life. I know Stefan loves him and has saved him but 你 still can't deny all the times he's wrongly been mean to him.
