INTRO:]
I met a girl in east LA
In floral shorts - as sweet as May
She sang in eights in two Barrio chords
We fell in love, but not in court

La-la-la-la-la-la

La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la

[POST-CHORUS:]
Ahhhhh America Americano
Ahhhhh America Americano
Ahhhhh America Americano
Ahhhhh America Americano

[VERSE 1:]
Mis canciones son de la revolución [my songs are of the revolution]
Mi corazón me duele por mi generación [my 心 hurts for my generation]

If 你 爱情 me, we can marry, on the west coast,
On a Wednesday, en un verano, en agosto

I don't speak your, I don't speak your language oh no (La-la-la-la-la-la)

I touch myself and it's alright

Just give in
Don't give up baby
Open up your 心 and your mind to me

Just know when

Happy in the club with a bottle of red wine

Hello, hello, baby, 你 called?
I can't hear a thing
I have got no service
In the club, 你 say? say?
Wha-wha-what did 你 say, huh?
You're breakin' up on me
Sorry I cannot hear you
I'm kinda busy
Kinda busy
Kinda busy
Sorry I cannot hear 你 I'm kinda busy

Just a second
It's my 最喜爱的 song they're gonna play
And I cannot text 你 with a drink in my hand, eh?
你 should've made some plans with me
你 knew that I was free
And now 你 won't stop calling me
I'm kinda busy

[Pre-Chorus:]
Stop callin'
Stop callin'
I don't wanna think anymore
I left my head and my 心 on the dancefloor
Stop callin'
Stop callin'
I don't wanna talk anymore
I left my head and my 心 on the dancefloor

[Chorus:]
Stop telephonin' me
(Stop telephonin' me)
I'm busy

Silicon, saline, poison inject me
Baby, I'm a free bitch
I'm a free bitch

Some girls won't dance to the beat of the tribe
She won't walk away
But she won't look back
She looks good
But her boyfriend says she's a mess
She's a mess
She's a mess
Now the girl is stressed
She's a mess
She's a mess
She's a mess
She's a mess
(Tellem', girls)

Baby loves to dance in the dark
'Cuz when he's lookin'
She falls apart
Baby loves to dance in the dark (Tellem', girls)

Run run
Her 吻乐队(Kiss) is a vampire grin
The moon lights her way while she's howlin' at him
She looks good
But her boyfriend says she's a tramp
She's a tramp
She's a vamp
But she still does her dance
She's a tramp
She's a vamp
But she still kills the dance

Climbing and Abseiling in the Blue Mountains

Adrenaline junkies don’t want to miss the chance to climb and abseil in Australia’s Blue Mountains. Nestled in New South Wales and just a short drive from Sydney, the Blue Mountains are not only 首页 to world class climbing and canyoning features, but they also boast some of the most pristine and scenic tropical landscapes in the world.

What does climbing and abseiling involve? Climbing refers to rock climbing, as one might suspect, and abseiling is essentially rappelling down a rock face in a controlled manner. Climbers and abseilers wear a rock climbing 马具, 线束 that is fastened to a rope and secured through a rappel device that is operated 由 a partner climber. Once all of the safety precautions are taken care of, the abseiler simply positions his 或者 herself off of the cliff with the body perpendicular to the rock so that the feet are firmly placed on the side of the cliff face. Climbing and abseiling is truly an exhilarating and memorable way to see all that the Blue Mountains have to offer!

The Ningaloo 礁 is Western Australia’s largest, pristine and most accessible Coral Reef. It extends for approximately 260 kilometres from Point Murat on the tip of the North West Cape to Amherst Point, just south of Coral 湾 making it one of the world’s largest fringing coral reefs.

Unlike the Great Barrier 礁 and other reefs situated off the north coast of Australia, Ningaloo 礁 is not separated from the coast, thus making its accessibility one of it's greatest attractions.

In some places, just a few kicks bring 你 to a 礁 with its 500 species of 鱼 and 220 species of colourful corals along with an array of other enchanting marine life. Brightly coloured 鱼 swim close to the beaches in the shallow waters of the protection lagoons, and there are no poisonous 果冻 fish! The deeper water communities harbour brightly coloured sponges and corals with soft algae living among them.
One of the main attractions for marine enthusiasts is the migration of giant 鲸, 鲸鱼 sharks and humpbacks that frequent Ningaloo Reef. Divers and snorkelers can come and swim with the 鲸, 鲸鱼 sharks through March to June, while June to October is humpback whale...

Three days into a trek across the volcanic highlands of southwest Iceland, it occurs to me: This is Tolkien's Middle-earth. With its obsidian lava fields and steaming hot springs, its moss-covered foothills and treeless valleys, Iceland is Mordor one 分钟 and the Shire the next. It has a magical quality to it, this Land of 火, 消防 and Ice—as if it has been plucked from the imagination and placed here, somewhere between 欧洲 and North America, to be a playground for the adventurous traveler.

A thousand years ago, Iceland's Viking settlers sent criminals to the island's inhospitable interior, where they were forced to survive for 20 years before earning a pardon. Most never made it. I only have to survive for a week, though, and I have some help: a rugged British guide named Kelso, who's lived in Iceland for five years "after getting his mid-life crisis in early," and Helgi, an Icelander who transports our overnight gear from hut to hut each day. Together they're responsible for our food, our emergency transportation, and most of our comic relief.

There's a 流行的 misconception in American hiking circles that the only "real" mountains in the U.S. are found out west. I've been guilty of it myself, looking to the Sierras and the Rockies for adventure and ignoring—here in my column, anyway—the joys and challenges of the Northeast. That's an oversight I'll put behind me this month.

Peter Potterfield, who writes about New Hampshire's White Mountains in his excellent book, Classic Hikes of the World, says that these peaks have "been the comeuppance of many an arrogant hiker from outside New England." He's right. They've humbled quite a few native New Englanders, too.

Though the state's highest peak, Mount Washington, might look like a foothill compared to some of the tallest summits in the West, it's also 首页 to the most ferocious weather on the planet, with recorded wind speeds over 200 miles an hour. The surrounding peaks are similarly rugged and, 更多 importantly, boast some of the best wilderness 查看 in the country. In short, they're tall enough to be challenging and scenic enough to be worth the effort.

Here in the driest desert on earth, in a rocky valley populated 由 withered pillars of salt and stone and an enormous sand dune that doubles as a pedestrian highway, I find myself scrambling, hands and feet, up a jagged outcropping ... and waiting for the sun to set on the "Valley of the Moon."

This is Chile's Valle de la Luna, the legendary moon valley, crowned on all sides 由 volcanic peaks that cascade as far as the eye can see. It's these peaks that grab my attention now. One 由 one they're painted in the pinks and reds of the setting sun, and the valley becomes a kaleidoscope of new shapes and colors. If this quiet lunar landscape seemed eerie before dusk, it's downright alien now.

A dozen 或者 so fellow onlookers buzz to life once the evening shadows take root. Soon it will be dark, and we still have to navigate the windswept crest of the sand dune back to our cars and, eventually, to the tiny desert oasis town of San Pedro de Atacama—my 首页 base for this trip to northern Chile.

Seven miles off the coast of Venezuela, on the tiny Caribbean island of Trinidad, I'm about to come face to face with two dozen swirling, shrieking guardians of the dead. Likened to devils 由 the ancient Amerindians of South America, these sentinels of the afterlife are actually rare cave-dwelling birds that nest like bats and look like ravens with fiery red eyes. The souls of the departed were 说 to dwell in the recesses of their subterranean lair.

I've hiked through a sweltering rainforest to find these devil birds, and I can hear them before I see them. They scream and flutter just out of sight, flapping their wings and circling the interior of this place called Aripo Cave as if to warn me—keep out. It's taken me the better part of a 日 to reach the cave, though, and I'm not about to stop now.

My guide, a brawny local from the Trinidad-based eco-outfitter The Pathmaster, urges me forward, down the slick, jaw-like rocks of the cave mouth. Soon I'm on my hands and knees, and then I'm crawling on my stomach across a narrow underground ledge for a better look. As my eyes adjust to the darkness, I see them, and I understand why the Amerindians both...

"In the forest 你 must first use your ears, then your eyes," says Harris McDonald, my rainforest guide here on the tiny Caribbean island of Tobago. He silences me with a finger to his mouth. "Listen." I do, and then I hear it: a loud, yawning groan like something straight out of Jurassic Park. I back up a step and stumble over the gnarled roots of the 马骡, 骡子 path we've been following for the past hour.

McDonald follows that with a smile roughly the same size as the machete at his side. He's known as the "Jungle Man," and he's been leading casual 日 hikers and tourists into Tobago's rainforest—the oldest legally protected preserve in the Western Hemisphere—for 更多 than 10 years.

Today, he's leading me.

"Kissing trees," he says with a laugh. He points upward, and I see the two windblown giants rubbing against each other overhead. They make an appalling noise, but a unique one, and it's something to savor. It's not every 日 你 find yourself exploring a place voted the best ecotourism destination in the world.

On the border between South Africa and Zimbabwe (Beitbridge), just south of the Limpopo one can find the picturesque town of Louis Trichart in the mountainous area of the Soutpansberg. On a 最近的 trip back from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe we visited this area as well as the Njelele valley (close to Toyandou town) in the neighbouring Venda. This geographical area is blessed with a rich historical background full of legends and myths and is one of a few remaining unspoilt areas of South Africa. Today, the history is still evident in the names of the two major towns in the area namely Louis Trichard that was named after a Voortrekker leader and Thoyandou after a historical chief of the VhaVenda nation.

On our arrival in Louis Trichard, we were welcomed 由 Marius Gilfillan from Carousel Lodge who accompanied us into the SAFCOR forestry area from where the famous Hanglip (previously called Hangklip) could be viewed. We visited the Hanglip Picnic site and Motane forest where all the trees are marked for the visitors information. Several hiking trails winds its way through this indigenous forest while Marius also runs several horse trails through this specific area. This...

Probably the single greatest asset which anyone can ever have in conversations is the ability to make other people laugh.

Whether 你 are asking your boss for a raise, talking to someone who 你 like, 或者 just trying to be the 流行的 person who everyone wants to be around, 你 will get light years ahead if only 你 can make them laugh.

An interesting, but little known fact is that laughter is a response which is a subconscious way of saying to someone else "I want to bond with you". Is it any wonder that countless surveys have shown that the number one desired characteristic in the opposite sex, for both sexes, is a sense of humour.

But can someone actually learn to be funny? Do 你 have to be born with a particular natural talent for humour, which if 你 don't have, there's no chance for you? Are some people permanently condemned to a lifetime of boredom and unpopularity, never able to hold their own in a conversation, while the 'natural funny guys' effortlessly take the approval of everyone present? Is there a secret to being funny?

There are too many lawyers in America and they are everywhere. 500,000 更多 graduating from Law School this year; in fact there are 更多 lawyers graduating from Law School on their way to sue good honest Americans on their way to their first million than the total number of homeless folks in the United States. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't we help the homeless and give them a skill and education and send the Lawyers begging on the street?

Now we see our own government taken over 由 lawyers, look how many lawyers there are in the Senate and halls of Congress? I think there ought to be one law on the books. That is if Congress makes a law they have to remove ten others. 你 see we have 45 stories of OSHA law if 你 stack those pages on 最佳, 返回页首 of one another. Why do I do it? Why do I laugh at things I shouldn't? For instance, when someone from Howard Stern's "whack pack", his personal collection of mentally challenged misfits with various speech impediments, talks about anything? How about when Andrew "Dice" Clay profanely rants about females in ways that set women (and men for that matter) back a thousand years? What about one of the most politically incorrect shows on cable TV today, Curb Your Enthusiasm. I laugh my butt off every time Larry David pathetically wrestles with race 或者 sexuality 或者 death 或者 handicaps. And I can't leave out Chris Rock cursing his way through a monologue about the plight of fathers whose daughters are strippers.

I might just as well laugh at a train wrecks. And I do-not at real train wrecks-but at comedy train wrecks.

I used to think "you either get it 或者 你 don't". But I'm not so sure anymore. When I crack up and cough up a lung because a ten 年 old girl thinks Larry David, whom she encounters in a ladies restroom, has a giant erection, am I being blindly insensitive to child molestation? When I chuckle at a really mean-spirited racial slur Imus's sidekick bigot, Bernard,...

Appearing naked in other people's dreams is a concept which occurred to me as I woke up this morning from a dream in which I was naked. It's about time someone added this important idea to our literary and cultural heritage.

Advantages to appearing naked in other people's dreams seem infinitely numerous, but I'll the possibilities. When appearing naked in other people's dreams, it's preferable to use one's "power" for good and not evil.

If you've ever been naked in a dream of your own, you're aware of how vulnerable 你 feel at the time -- especially if you're standing naked at a major intersection during rush hour. Wouldn't it be nice if someone came 由 to stand 下一个 to you? If there were another naked person standing 下一个 to you, you'd feel much 更多 confident of standing naked in the middle of the 街, 街道 while automobile traffic swirls around you. 你 could even engage in conversation with your guest, and the act of engaging in a lighthearted discussion would distract 你 from your embarrassment.
