I saw some information about Guantanamo Bay that was horrifying. PEOPLE WERE INCARCERATED THERE WHO THE AUTHORITIES ADMITTED WERE NOT TERRORISTS! Rather,these people were being held because they 'might know something' about terrorists. EG: a taxi driver from Kabul who had no links to terrorists and was not suspected of being a terrorist but who was being held because 'he might have overheard something about terrorist plots and he might remember if we lock him up here'. This is outrageous.
Equally outrageous - Obama promised to shut Guantanamo AND YET STILL HASN'T MANAGED IT. As usual, he has ported out plenty of excuses (including some of these people are stateless or would face execution if sent home), BUT FOR A POTUS THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
