As soon as Kyle turned his head, Casey had already thrown the door open. Ira stood there a bit stunned, holding a large plastic bag with a warm Italian scent inside. “List-“
Ira walked passed Casey before the ticked girlfriend could continue and quickly sat the bag on the Dining Room Table. She then turned around and gave Kyle a large hug. “Hey.” She greeted. Kyle was a little stunned and dared not hug back, but was able to reply with “H-h-hi, Ira…”
“Who’s your friend?” Ira asked, turning to Casey.
“I’m his GIRLFRIEND…” Casey growled.
As soon as the sound echoed through Ira’s ears she jerked back from Kyle and looked back and forth at them, then at the ground. “Oh…”
“I’m going to give 你 five 秒 to leave. I see what you’re doing.” Casey threatened.
“B-but I-“
Kyle needed to intervene. “H-hey, calm down!” He stepped between them. “Ira wasn’t doing anything, Casey. She just needed a place to stay. Honest!”
“Yeah right.” Casey replied coldly, still glaring at Ira. “Listen you,” Casey gently pushed Kyle out of the way then took a challenging step towards Ira, who slightly coward, “Kyle’s the one guy for me, and I’m not going to let some Love-struck-kitty try to steal him.”
Ira didn’t move. So Casey pushed her into the wall. “OOF!” Ira shook her head dizzily.
Kyle was shocked. “Casey, stop! Don’t hurt her!” Kyle wasn’t going to do anything else at first, but then something came over him. He picked up Casey and… threw her out of the house.
Kyle had not realized what he had done until it was over. Casey made a last-minute threat to Ira then ran off. Kyle had not realized what had made him do that. We felt so sorry and almost sick with sorrow. “How am I going to make it up to her?” He 说 in a long whispering sigh.
Ira recovered from the attack and walked over to Kyle, putting a hand on his shoulder. “Are 你 going to be alright?” She asked in concern.
“I… I don’t know.” Kyle would have been tearing up perhaps even, if not for being utterly 《冰雪奇缘》 with confusion and shock that he had thrown his girlfriend out.
“Well… maybe I could help 你 talk to her? Explain maybe?”
“Are 你 sure?” Kyle asked. “She tried to hurt you.”
“Well actually she DID hurt me, but I can forgive that. Do 你 know where she lives?”
“… Y-yeah, I do.”
“Then c’mon.” Ira walked out of the house and into the car. Kyle came out slowly. He was thinking of what he would say to Casey once they talked to her.
In the distance Kyle saw someone coming towards him. “Casey?” He thought hopefully. Sadly it was not Casey, but Kagen.
“Kyle I need to talk to you!!” Kagen yelled as he ran up.
“What is it?” Kyle replied.
“It’s about I-“ *BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* Ira pressed the car-horn hard. Kyle looked to her then back at Kagen. “I’ve gotta go right now, Kagen. I messed things up with Casey and I have to go talk to her.”
“But-“ *BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP*
“Can it wait till later?” Kyle asked.
“Of course it-“ Kagen shook his head frantically, as it there was something bugging him, then he looked up and answered “It… can. I can wait. I’ll… talk to 你 later.”
Kyle gave Kagen a nod then followed Ira into the car and drove off. The drive over was quiet. Ira seemed a bit on edge. Kyle could only assume it was from what Casey did to her.
*knock knock* Kyle had been knocking on Casey’s door for around five minutes. “Casey please talk to me!” He pleaded. No reply.
“Maybe she isn’t home.” Ira guessed.
Ira was incorrect. Casey flew open the door and attempted to tackle her. Kyle quickly stopped her, and did his best to hold her back. “LET GO! I’VE GOT A WENCH TO BEAT!” Casey yelled while reaching frantically at Ira, who gave her a small smirk.
“Casey, I came here to talk to you! Please stop!” Kyle begged, still straining to keep his girlfriend back.
With a large huff of annoyance Casey finally stopped, but Kyle could tell she was still on edge. “Talk.” She demanded.
“I wanted to say that I am SO sorry about what happened! I- I don’t know why I did that! It was so wrong and 你 should never be treated like that. I guess I just overreacted when 你 hit Ira-“
“Ouch 由 the way.” Ira snuck in. Casey growled at her.
“And what are 你 going to do about her?” Casey asked angrily.
“I… I don’t know.” Kyle admitted. “I could try to find her a hotel 或者 something. She really wasn’t trying to get in between. Can 你 please forgive me?”
Casey pondered these words for a bit. Kyle stood there almost watering up, while Ira kept an emotionless cold stare. Finally Casey answered “As long as I don’t have to see her anymore, I forgive you.”
“I’m not just going to leave.” Ira informed. “It’s not like I can just go to a hotel, unless you’re willing to pay for it.”
“Kyle shouldn’t have to look after you.” Casey replied. “It’s not his fault 你 don’t have the money.”
“Well…” Kyle began, “How long do 你 have to stay, Ira?”
Ira shrugged, “I dunno. Three days maybe.”
“No. You’re not staying one 分钟 more.” Casey glared.
“It’s not your decision.” Ira retorted.
“You’re right, it’s Kyle’s.” Casey looked to the very stressed Kyle, “What are 你 going to do?”
“I- I- I…” Kyle’s mind was swarming with the two choices. He could not leave Ira to fend for herself if she did not have enough money, but he did not want to upset Casey. “I don’t know.”
“Then I’ll do it.” Casey walked past Kyle and attempted to grab Ira 由 the arm. Ira moved out of the way and pushed Casey forward, causing her to fall forward. She quickly braced herself then got up. “TELL HER TO LEAVE!!” She yelled.
Kyle was frozen, he could not decide. He felt as if something was tearing at his mind, trying to force him to do one thing, while he wanted to do the other. Casey however had had it. “Fine then!” She stormed back into the house, but before closing the door she called out “I hope 你 have a wonderful life together!” and then she slammed the door shut.
Kyle collapsed to his knees right then and there. He sat there for a good five 分钟 then walked back into the car, followed 由 Ira, then drove home. Ira 说 only one thing to him, “It’s not your fault, 你 know.” Kyle made no reply.
Upon arriving home, Kyle saw that Kagen had left a note on the front door. Before Kyle could read it though, Ira snatched it up and read it herself. “Got tired of waiting. Went home.” She read. “Huh. Oh well I guess.”
Kyle did not reply. He might have if not for being so distraught. So he sat in his room. He did not eat for hours. His mom came in after a while and asked if he was alright, to which he explained the prior events. His mom suggested that he try and talk to Casey again, but Kyle had the feeling she would not want to see him for quite a while.
The 日 passed on, and with it Kyle’s sorrow gradually left him. He felt… fine for some reason. He was about to go and get something to eat when he heard a knocking on the window.
"What in the world could that be...?" Kyle quietly thought. He slowly made his way over to the window, and slowly slid it open, looking outside. "Hello...?"
"Kyle, dude! I have to talk to you!" Kagen's slightly high-pitched voice called. The 狐狸 boy himself was standing on the 秒 story balcony, which was right 下一个 to Kyle's 秒 story bedroom window.
"Kagen...? What is it? I was about to go get something to eat... Please try to make it quick."
"You have to follow me. I have to 显示 你 something! It's very important!" Kagen said, moving to the side of the balcony to leave a giant 太空 to for Kyle. "Come on! I set up a ladder to get up here! We can use that to get down!"
"Whoa, whoa, wait a minute, Kagen," Kyle 说 firmly, trying to process what Kagen had just speedily told him. "You're my best friend and I respect you, but why should I go? I'm really hungry and just want to relax, Kagen..."
"Kyle, just trust me on this! I swear that it's important! You... 你 just need to see it! Please come!" Kagen begged his yellow-furred friend.
After a short time of serious debating inside his head, Kyle released a heavy sigh. "Fine... If it's THAT important..." He slowly climbed out of his window, stepping down carefully onto the roof. He grabbed ahold of the balcony railing to keep from falling, and slowly moved close to the balcony. "Help me, please..."
"Sure thing," Kagen grabbed Kyle's arms and helped him pull his weight up over the railing. Kagen slowly made his way over to the ladder that leaned against the front of the balcony, and slowly climbed over the railing and onto the ladder. "Come on!"
Kyle slowly and carefully climbed onto the ladder and slowly made his way down, making sure that Kagen was down on the ground before he climbed down himself. He turned to face Kagen. "Alright... So now what's this big important thing 你 need to 显示 me?"
"Come on! I'll 显示 you!" Kagen took off quickly, followed closely 由 Kyle. "Trust me, it's really important!"
After some time of running, Kagen brought Kyle to the wide, open field that Kagen had been to himself earlier before. Kagen made himself to the center of the field, then he came to a quick stop. "Alright, here we are!"
Kyle looked around slowly, trying to find anything that could be the "important" thing that Kagen wanted him to see so badly. "Alright, then... What exactly am I suppose to look for, Kagen? What was so important?"
"Kyle, Ira's not who she says she is! I remembered! Ira did something to Ruby right here in this field! I remembered that!" Kagen said, watching a wide-eyed look quickly grow on Kyle's face.
"Ira did that...? What...?"
"Kyle, please believe me! I'm being serious! She's not who she says she is!" Kagen begged Kyle to believe him, however, he could only hope that Kyle would believe him.
Kyle remained silent for a quite some time, not knowing what to think 或者 who to really believe anymore... The new girl Ira 或者 the person who's been his best friend for his entire life?
Then from behind them came Ira, looking confused and a bit flustered. “What’s going with 你 two? 你 just snuck out of the house. Your mom sent me to follow you.”
Kyle jumped just slightly, surprised 由 Ira's sudden appearance. He turned around quickly to face her, not really knowing what to say to her. "I... uh... Kagen had something important to 显示 me... 或者 he 说 it was important..."
Kagen remained silent, not turning to face Ira. His ears layed down just slightly as he continued to stand in silence.
“Well 你 could have 说 something before leaving. I was worried.”
Kyle lowered his head slightly, feeling quite guilty from what Ira said. "I'm... so sorry..." That was the only thing that he could manage to think of to say.
Kagen still remained silent, still not turning his head to look at Ira. He narrowed his eyes slightly.
“Well come on then.” 说 Ira, motioning for Kyle to follow as she started back home. “Your mom is probably worried sick.”
"...Ok..." Kyle slowly began to follow Ira, slowly turning his head to look back at Kagen.
Kagen simply just shook his head at Kyle, wearing a cold stare on his face. "...You have to remember..." He mouthed to Kyle as he watched Kyle walk away with Ira. Kyle lowered his head slightly, continuing to walk with Ira. Through serious thinking, he could almost remember what Kagen had been telling him... Maybe Kagen was correct. Maybe he remembered the field afterall... Maybe he should say something to Ira.
“What did 你 two need to talk about anyway?” Ira asked.
Kyle tensed up just slightly, not really knowing what to say and what not to say to Ira. "Well... Kagen 说 that he had something very important to tell me... Important enough that he probably wouldn't have left me alone if I didn't come here with him..." Kyle lowered his head more, hesitating just slightly. "Then... I... um... I... thought I remembered something happening in this field... with you..."
Ira turned around to face Kyle looking quite confused. “With me? When did we come here?”
Kyle bit his lip slightly, trying to remember what else had happened. He struggled to remembered what had happened in that field... Why couldn't he remember something so simple? "I... I... uh... I don't know if I can remember... All I know is... that I can remember 你 here with... Kagen and me, I think... I thought... I thought Kagen 说 something about..." He paused for a small time, not really knowing if he should continue 或者 not. "...He... 说 that he didn't think....... 你 were who 你 说 你 were......."
“… Wh-what?” Ira’s ears dropped a bit. “Why would-“ Ira looked towards Kagen then back to Kyle walking a bit closer, “I’m no one else, Kyle… you… 你 believe me, don’t you?”
Kyle felt awful. His ears laid back flat against his head as he felt guilt and even the feeling of being upset rising up in him. "I... I never 说 I didn't believe you, Ira... Maybe... Maybe Kagen was just kidding... I've never seen him say something like that before... I've never seen him be mean 或者 rude to anyone... But... maybe he really was just kidding... Maybe Kagen was just making up a story 或者 something..."
Kagen narrowed his eyes slightly, still standing stiff without a movement. "...You either believe me 或者 her, Kyle. I can't hold your hand and walk 你 through it... best friend." He replied in a flat, angry voice.
The 评论 struck Kyle hard. “Best friend” echoed in his head. His mind was cleared for a moment. This was his best friend, versus a girl he barely knew. Of course he had to choose Kagen. How could he choose otherwise? “Ira, I have to-“ then she kissed him.
Even Kagen was too surprised to actually react. Kyle himself was utterly speechless, not that he could actually speak in between a kiss. It felt like his mind was changing again. Ira… was using the kiss… to control him? He tried to fight it, but his mind was breaking in the pain of trying to regain control.
Kagen was not moving at all. He could not. Something was keeping him still. Who would stop them?
“YOU LITTLE-“ A blue ball of fury slammed into Ira, ripping her lips off Kyle. “GET YOUR LIPS OFF MY BOYFRIEND!” Casey screamed as she ripped and clawed at Ira’s face. Kyle had almost passed out with the sudden relief. He ended up falling on the still immobile Kagen, which left Ira at Casey’s unmerciful mercy.
Casey raised a fist to finish Ira off, but was sent flying high into the sky 由 a single kick. Kyle was still stunned but he could still see what was going on. He dizzily ran over and caught Casey, which gave his stomach no small amount of pain.
“Such a touching moment.” Ira smirked as she got up. No wounds appeared on her whatsoever. “You two, Kagen, Casey, I don’t have any need for.”
“What do 你 want with Kyle?!” Casey yelled angrily.
“Let’s see who acts the most surprised when I mention this.” Ira chuckled faintly. “Rasoul.”
Kyle froze at the mention of his own powers, his eyes widening 由 quite a large amount. Ira was after his powers? "Wh-What...? You're... You're after my powers...?"
Kagen's eyes widened 由 quite a bit when he heard what Ira said. He was shocked that she even know what Kyle's powers were even called.
Casey was still furious but she wanted 答案 too, so stayed silent.
Ira chuckled humorously, “In a way. I am the leader of an elite force known as the ‘Anti-Identities’. Some call that sort of thing a ‘queen’. And a ‘queen’ needs a man at her side. And while most identities fear dark energy, yours is quite… intriguing.” She took a step forward. “Did your identity friends, Ruby and I2, tell 你 who I am? 由 how surprised 你 are I’d doubt it.”
Kyle remained silent, not knowing what to say to Ira. He was so shocked, he couldn't even think clearly. "...I... don't know..." Who was he kidding? There's no way he could answer 问题 with his mind being that shocked.
Kagen didn't know what he should say, either. He remained just as silent and as shocked as Kyle did.
Ira had one last chuckle… then she transformed. From a cat to a dark brown lynx, with fiery stripes, tall ears, black and red hair that stretched down to her hips, and wearing an oriental-type red and black-striped collared, short sleeved dress, with black and red boots. “My name,” She finished, “is Virus.”
Kagen stood in pure shock, staring at this dark brown lynx with wide eyes. His wide-eyed face was, however, soon replaced 由 a look of anger. He released a quiet growl, ready to try to protect his best friend in any way possible if this girl tried to attack.
“You know what?” The lynx began, “I have a proposal.”
"You... 你 have a what...?" Kyle asked, his ears laying back against his head.
Without moving a finger, both Ruby and I2 appeared in front of Kyle, Kagen, and Casey.
“Let me guess,” Casey put in, “If we beat you, we get those two back?”
Virus laughed at this remark, “No- ha- no. To get THEM back, 你 have to beat THEM in a fight.” And then both Ruby and I2 lit up red. “Me fighting 你 would be much too easy.
Kagen didn't say anything, either out of pure shock of what was happening, 或者 the fact that he couldn't stand the thought of harming Ruby and I2 in any way.
Kyle's entire body tensed up imediately at the sight of Ruby and I2. He clenched his fists together tightly as his ears stood straight up in a rage. He released a very heavy, angry growl as his eyes slowly began a very slight red glow. "You expect me to fight them?! They're like family to me! I could never hurt them!" He released another angry growl, staring at Virus with a very angry glare. "Give them back!"
One might expect the villain to laugh 或者 smirk, but this one did not. Instead she kept a serious non-gleeful stare and replied calmly “Only if 你 beat them. And if 你 lose, 你 have to come with me too.” Then both Ruby and I2 charged at Kyle.
Kyle's anger was quickly replaced 由 fear as Ruby and I2 charged at him. "Why are 你 doing this to me?!" He yelled this 更多 openly than directly to someone, with many emotions and thoughts now pooling around inside him. A thin black mist slowly began to appear around his body; his Rasoul energy powers. Kyle didn't want to fight two people that he almost considered family, but it looked like he might have to just to save them and himself from Virus' plans.
“A test.” She replied calmly.
Ruby jumped over Kyle landing behind him, while I2 stayed in front. Both of them transformed their hands into sharp blades, and prepared to attack.
“I2 appears to be the 更多 skilled in fighting it seems.” Virus explained, “so hopefully this won’t be too easy for you, unless 你 are completely a waste of time.
Kyle was scared. He had never used his powers greatly in combat, and he was afraid of what the results might be. He had used his powers multiple times before, and he knew that he had little control over them 或者 what they even did at times. However, appearing to work with his emotions of anger and fear, his Rasoul energy wrapped around his hands and feet, as if ready to attack on their own. Kyle's Rasoul spread across his arms, making a small blade on each arm. Both of his now Rasoul-controlled arms raised up, as if ready to fight.
Both Identities crashed down at Kyle with their bladed-arms.
Kyle's arms both swung up, attempting to stop at least some force from the Identities' attack. His arms also released a small pulse of Rasoul energy as his arms smashed together, giving off quite a bit of force in the pulse.
A clash from the impact sounded as the two identities rebounded then kicked up at Kyle, Ruby behind his knees, and I2 at his chin.
Kyle fell 前锋, 期待 as his knees bent 前锋, 期待 from Ruby's kick, pain roaring all up and down his legs. The pain was further increased as I2's foot came up into his chin.
“There has to be 更多 in 你 then that.” Virus scolded.
Casey and Kagen attempted to tackle Virus from behind. The identity span around and slam-kicked them both into the ground, and held them there. “Let’s let the hero fight, shall we?”
Kyle spun his arm around, shooting his rasoul energy towards Ruby as a projectile. She quickly moved downward and rammed him forward. “AUGH!” Kyle braced himself, scraping his hands on the dirt and grass. He noticed that his two 老友记 were captured and darted towards their direction.
I2 appeared in front of him and began teleporting rapidly while hitting him with rapid punches. Kyle’s entire body stung with her strikes, and made it hard to concentrate. He quickly formed his energy around himself, then expanded it in all directions, burning I2 enough to stop her for the moment.
“Let them go! They didn’t do anything!” Kyle yelled as he continued his charge.
“I have a feeling you’ll be telling me that a lot.” Virus sighed. Kyle jumped at her, attempting to land a hit, but Virus quickly moved her head to the side. Kyle expected her to take this advantage to strike at him, but she simply moved out of the way.
Kyle did not have time to figure out why she did not attack, because he was soon slammed into the ground 由 I2. He felt dizzy from the impact, and nauseous as well, but he had to keep going. I2 vanished and Ruby appeared ten feet in front of Kyle, blasting red energy at him in a beam.
The hedgehog had little time to react, let alone dodge. His last resort was to shoot back with his own energy. He would not be able to overpower her energy, but maybe he could shield himself long enough to reach her.
Kyle slowly pushed towards Ruby, straining his entire body to press against her beam. This was noticed, and soon the beam was increased. It took everything Kyle had to stay on balance. “RUBY! STOP!” He yelled.
“You really think that I’d let her be able to regain her subconscious?” Virus insulted. “That works in cheesy romance films, not here.”
Kyle was sent hurdling backward, landing hard on his backside. I2 appeared over him and aimed an arm-canon at his head, preparing to blast. *POW!* A bullet shot straight through her. She did not seem damaged, but she was distracted. The enslaved identity turned and saw that the shot came from Casey, who shot her three 更多 times.
With I2 distracted, Kyle took the advantage and ran past I2, still attempting to get to Kagen and Casey. As he ran towards them, Ruby prepared to 火, 消防 again. Virus took notice of this and jumped clear out of the way.
“What?” Kyle quickly looked behind him in time to see Ruby fire. He could get away in time, that was certain, but Kagen and Casey would not make it. Kyle attempted to form a rasoul mist shield in front of him to block the energy, but the enslaved identity pressed harder and harder, while inching closer and closer.
It got to the point where Ruby was directly in front of Kyle. His shield was nearly nothing, and his own 毛皮 had burned away at his arms. Kyle’s two 老友记 were still stuck to the ground, otherwise they would have helped. All they could do was watch as Kyle burned to keep them from harm.
Finally Kyle fell back to the ground. One could not tell if he was dead, unconscious, 或者 awake. His arms were burned badly, and his energy was depleted.
Then, Ruby stopped. Kagen and Casey were released, and as soon as they figured this out, they ran over to Kyle’s side.
“You care so much for these people.” Virus noted as she walked over. “Love… such a strange thing. But sadly, from what I’ve seen, 你 don’t appear to be the type I’m looking for.” She walked off a ways and continued, “You can go I suppose, but I think I’ll take something still…”
Ruby faded back to herself, no longer in Virus’s control. But I2… I2 vanished all together. “He needs a hospital.” Virus informed with an air of humor in her tone. “It’s been fun, Kyle.” And then she also vanished.
"Kyle, man, are 你 alright?!" Kagen yelled 更多 than asking, heavy concern and fear in his normally slightly high-pitched voice. He looked around frantically at Casey and Ruby. He did notice that I2 was gone, but at the same time, he was a little 更多 worried about the health of his best friend at the moment. "We have to help him! How are we going to get him back to good health again?!"
"Kyle, man, are 你 alright?!" Kagen yelled 更多 than asking, heavy concern and fear in his normally slightly high-pitched voice. He looked around frantically at Casey and Ruby. He did notice that I2 was gone, but at the same time, he was a little 更多 worried about the health of his best friend at the moment. "We have to help him! How are we going to get him back to good health again?!"
"...Kagen... Please, calm down... I'm... I'm alright..." Kyle whispered quietly, just staring straight ahead. His voice sounded like it held a lot of sadness.
Kagen was fairly shocked to hear the sound of Kyle's voice. He was afraid that Kyle had been knocked unconscious... 或者 even dead. "Kyle, you're ok!"
"Yes.... I'm alright... I... don't really want to talk much... I'm... not in the mood..." Kyle whispered again, still just staring straight ahead.
Kagen turned away from his golden furred hedgehog friend, turning to look at Casey and Ruby again. "We have to get him some kind of medical help! He's really hurt!"
"Maybe... Maybe I can help... I might be able to use my Chaos Energy powers to heal him..." Ruby said, looking down at Kyle in concern.
"You can?!" Kagen looked at Ruby in surprise, but soon replaced his face of surprise with a face of begging. "Please, PLEASE try to heal him... Please..."
"I'll try my best... But... I need complete silence so I can concentrate..." Ruby said, still looking down at Kyle with concern. "It's fairly hard to heal someone... I need a lot of concentration..."
"Whatever 你 need... Just please help him..." Kagen 说 quietly, also looking down at Kyle.
"I'll try..." Ruby said. She then began to use her Chaos Energy to heal Kyle, concentraiting very hard.
Kyle released a very quiet, sad sigh, trying to make sure to be as quiet as possible so Ruby could concentrate while healing him. He was upset, very upset. He couldn't take his mind off of the fact that he had just fought Ruby and I2... And he couldn't take his mind off of the fact that I2 was gone.
Kagen's ears layed down slowly in sadness as he looked at Kyle. He was pretty sure that he knew what was on Kyle's mind. "...Kyle... I'm so sorry..." He whispered quietly, trying to speak to Kyle without disturbing Ruby's concentration.
"I can't do this, Kagen... I can't do this..." Kyle whispered back quietly, tears quickly beginning to well up in his eyes.
"What... What do 你 mean...?" Kagen asked, feeling slightly confused. He struggled to hold back tears in his own eyes. Seeing Kyle cry almost always made him cry himself... He felt like he always shared a strong emotional bond with Kyle.
Ruby continued to heal Kyle, still trying to keep her concentraition. She looked at Kagen just slightly, trying to tell him to be as quiet as he could.
Kagen nodded his head at Ruby, and attempted to lower his voice as much as possible when he spoke again. "What's wrong, Kyle...?"
"I'm what's wrong, Kagen... That was horrible. I've never had to go through anything like that before in my life. I've never fought a battle like that before... I'm not used to being against power like that. I've fought villains before... But I've never seen anyone quite like that Virus person..." Kyle whispered quietly. "It... It just makes me worry... worry that I won't be able to stop this new villain Vice and his little team... If I can't stop him... Who knows what will happen to Freedom City...?"
"...Kyle, we'll 交叉, 十字架 that bridge when we have to 交叉, 十字架 it, buddy," Kagen said, trying to provide at least some relief for the very stressed and upset Kyle. "We'll... We can just 移动 foward and give him everything we've got to try to stop him..."
"Kyle remained silent for quite some time, but then slowly decided to speak to Kagen again. "...Alright... I guess... I guess we can do that..." He suddenly fell silent again as 更多 tears began to well up in his eyes. "But... But what about I2...? She's... She's gone, Kagen..."
Kagen bit his lip slightly, small tears now beginning to form at the corners of his eyes. "We'll... We'll get her back, Kyle... I know we will... We won't rest when we see her again... We'll make sure we get her back..."
Ira walked passed Casey before the ticked girlfriend could continue and quickly sat the bag on the Dining Room Table. She then turned around and gave Kyle a large hug. “Hey.” She greeted. Kyle was a little stunned and dared not hug back, but was able to reply with “H-h-hi, Ira…”
“Who’s your friend?” Ira asked, turning to Casey.
“I’m his GIRLFRIEND…” Casey growled.
As soon as the sound echoed through Ira’s ears she jerked back from Kyle and looked back and forth at them, then at the ground. “Oh…”
“I’m going to give 你 five 秒 to leave. I see what you’re doing.” Casey threatened.
“B-but I-“
Kyle needed to intervene. “H-hey, calm down!” He stepped between them. “Ira wasn’t doing anything, Casey. She just needed a place to stay. Honest!”
“Yeah right.” Casey replied coldly, still glaring at Ira. “Listen you,” Casey gently pushed Kyle out of the way then took a challenging step towards Ira, who slightly coward, “Kyle’s the one guy for me, and I’m not going to let some Love-struck-kitty try to steal him.”
Ira didn’t move. So Casey pushed her into the wall. “OOF!” Ira shook her head dizzily.
Kyle was shocked. “Casey, stop! Don’t hurt her!” Kyle wasn’t going to do anything else at first, but then something came over him. He picked up Casey and… threw her out of the house.
Kyle had not realized what he had done until it was over. Casey made a last-minute threat to Ira then ran off. Kyle had not realized what had made him do that. We felt so sorry and almost sick with sorrow. “How am I going to make it up to her?” He 说 in a long whispering sigh.
Ira recovered from the attack and walked over to Kyle, putting a hand on his shoulder. “Are 你 going to be alright?” She asked in concern.
“I… I don’t know.” Kyle would have been tearing up perhaps even, if not for being utterly 《冰雪奇缘》 with confusion and shock that he had thrown his girlfriend out.
“Well… maybe I could help 你 talk to her? Explain maybe?”
“Are 你 sure?” Kyle asked. “She tried to hurt you.”
“Well actually she DID hurt me, but I can forgive that. Do 你 know where she lives?”
“… Y-yeah, I do.”
“Then c’mon.” Ira walked out of the house and into the car. Kyle came out slowly. He was thinking of what he would say to Casey once they talked to her.
In the distance Kyle saw someone coming towards him. “Casey?” He thought hopefully. Sadly it was not Casey, but Kagen.
“Kyle I need to talk to you!!” Kagen yelled as he ran up.
“What is it?” Kyle replied.
“It’s about I-“ *BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP* Ira pressed the car-horn hard. Kyle looked to her then back at Kagen. “I’ve gotta go right now, Kagen. I messed things up with Casey and I have to go talk to her.”
“But-“ *BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP*
“Can it wait till later?” Kyle asked.
“Of course it-“ Kagen shook his head frantically, as it there was something bugging him, then he looked up and answered “It… can. I can wait. I’ll… talk to 你 later.”
Kyle gave Kagen a nod then followed Ira into the car and drove off. The drive over was quiet. Ira seemed a bit on edge. Kyle could only assume it was from what Casey did to her.
*knock knock* Kyle had been knocking on Casey’s door for around five minutes. “Casey please talk to me!” He pleaded. No reply.
“Maybe she isn’t home.” Ira guessed.
Ira was incorrect. Casey flew open the door and attempted to tackle her. Kyle quickly stopped her, and did his best to hold her back. “LET GO! I’VE GOT A WENCH TO BEAT!” Casey yelled while reaching frantically at Ira, who gave her a small smirk.
“Casey, I came here to talk to you! Please stop!” Kyle begged, still straining to keep his girlfriend back.
With a large huff of annoyance Casey finally stopped, but Kyle could tell she was still on edge. “Talk.” She demanded.
“I wanted to say that I am SO sorry about what happened! I- I don’t know why I did that! It was so wrong and 你 should never be treated like that. I guess I just overreacted when 你 hit Ira-“
“Ouch 由 the way.” Ira snuck in. Casey growled at her.
“And what are 你 going to do about her?” Casey asked angrily.
“I… I don’t know.” Kyle admitted. “I could try to find her a hotel 或者 something. She really wasn’t trying to get in between. Can 你 please forgive me?”
Casey pondered these words for a bit. Kyle stood there almost watering up, while Ira kept an emotionless cold stare. Finally Casey answered “As long as I don’t have to see her anymore, I forgive you.”
“I’m not just going to leave.” Ira informed. “It’s not like I can just go to a hotel, unless you’re willing to pay for it.”
“Kyle shouldn’t have to look after you.” Casey replied. “It’s not his fault 你 don’t have the money.”
“Well…” Kyle began, “How long do 你 have to stay, Ira?”
Ira shrugged, “I dunno. Three days maybe.”
“No. You’re not staying one 分钟 more.” Casey glared.
“It’s not your decision.” Ira retorted.
“You’re right, it’s Kyle’s.” Casey looked to the very stressed Kyle, “What are 你 going to do?”
“I- I- I…” Kyle’s mind was swarming with the two choices. He could not leave Ira to fend for herself if she did not have enough money, but he did not want to upset Casey. “I don’t know.”
“Then I’ll do it.” Casey walked past Kyle and attempted to grab Ira 由 the arm. Ira moved out of the way and pushed Casey forward, causing her to fall forward. She quickly braced herself then got up. “TELL HER TO LEAVE!!” She yelled.
Kyle was frozen, he could not decide. He felt as if something was tearing at his mind, trying to force him to do one thing, while he wanted to do the other. Casey however had had it. “Fine then!” She stormed back into the house, but before closing the door she called out “I hope 你 have a wonderful life together!” and then she slammed the door shut.
Kyle collapsed to his knees right then and there. He sat there for a good five 分钟 then walked back into the car, followed 由 Ira, then drove home. Ira 说 only one thing to him, “It’s not your fault, 你 know.” Kyle made no reply.
Upon arriving home, Kyle saw that Kagen had left a note on the front door. Before Kyle could read it though, Ira snatched it up and read it herself. “Got tired of waiting. Went home.” She read. “Huh. Oh well I guess.”
Kyle did not reply. He might have if not for being so distraught. So he sat in his room. He did not eat for hours. His mom came in after a while and asked if he was alright, to which he explained the prior events. His mom suggested that he try and talk to Casey again, but Kyle had the feeling she would not want to see him for quite a while.
The 日 passed on, and with it Kyle’s sorrow gradually left him. He felt… fine for some reason. He was about to go and get something to eat when he heard a knocking on the window.
"What in the world could that be...?" Kyle quietly thought. He slowly made his way over to the window, and slowly slid it open, looking outside. "Hello...?"
"Kyle, dude! I have to talk to you!" Kagen's slightly high-pitched voice called. The 狐狸 boy himself was standing on the 秒 story balcony, which was right 下一个 to Kyle's 秒 story bedroom window.
"Kagen...? What is it? I was about to go get something to eat... Please try to make it quick."
"You have to follow me. I have to 显示 你 something! It's very important!" Kagen said, moving to the side of the balcony to leave a giant 太空 to for Kyle. "Come on! I set up a ladder to get up here! We can use that to get down!"
"Whoa, whoa, wait a minute, Kagen," Kyle 说 firmly, trying to process what Kagen had just speedily told him. "You're my best friend and I respect you, but why should I go? I'm really hungry and just want to relax, Kagen..."
"Kyle, just trust me on this! I swear that it's important! You... 你 just need to see it! Please come!" Kagen begged his yellow-furred friend.
After a short time of serious debating inside his head, Kyle released a heavy sigh. "Fine... If it's THAT important..." He slowly climbed out of his window, stepping down carefully onto the roof. He grabbed ahold of the balcony railing to keep from falling, and slowly moved close to the balcony. "Help me, please..."
"Sure thing," Kagen grabbed Kyle's arms and helped him pull his weight up over the railing. Kagen slowly made his way over to the ladder that leaned against the front of the balcony, and slowly climbed over the railing and onto the ladder. "Come on!"
Kyle slowly and carefully climbed onto the ladder and slowly made his way down, making sure that Kagen was down on the ground before he climbed down himself. He turned to face Kagen. "Alright... So now what's this big important thing 你 need to 显示 me?"
"Come on! I'll 显示 you!" Kagen took off quickly, followed closely 由 Kyle. "Trust me, it's really important!"
After some time of running, Kagen brought Kyle to the wide, open field that Kagen had been to himself earlier before. Kagen made himself to the center of the field, then he came to a quick stop. "Alright, here we are!"
Kyle looked around slowly, trying to find anything that could be the "important" thing that Kagen wanted him to see so badly. "Alright, then... What exactly am I suppose to look for, Kagen? What was so important?"
"Kyle, Ira's not who she says she is! I remembered! Ira did something to Ruby right here in this field! I remembered that!" Kagen said, watching a wide-eyed look quickly grow on Kyle's face.
"Ira did that...? What...?"
"Kyle, please believe me! I'm being serious! She's not who she says she is!" Kagen begged Kyle to believe him, however, he could only hope that Kyle would believe him.
Kyle remained silent for a quite some time, not knowing what to think 或者 who to really believe anymore... The new girl Ira 或者 the person who's been his best friend for his entire life?
Then from behind them came Ira, looking confused and a bit flustered. “What’s going with 你 two? 你 just snuck out of the house. Your mom sent me to follow you.”
Kyle jumped just slightly, surprised 由 Ira's sudden appearance. He turned around quickly to face her, not really knowing what to say to her. "I... uh... Kagen had something important to 显示 me... 或者 he 说 it was important..."
Kagen remained silent, not turning to face Ira. His ears layed down just slightly as he continued to stand in silence.
“Well 你 could have 说 something before leaving. I was worried.”
Kyle lowered his head slightly, feeling quite guilty from what Ira said. "I'm... so sorry..." That was the only thing that he could manage to think of to say.
Kagen still remained silent, still not turning his head to look at Ira. He narrowed his eyes slightly.
“Well come on then.” 说 Ira, motioning for Kyle to follow as she started back home. “Your mom is probably worried sick.”
"...Ok..." Kyle slowly began to follow Ira, slowly turning his head to look back at Kagen.
Kagen simply just shook his head at Kyle, wearing a cold stare on his face. "...You have to remember..." He mouthed to Kyle as he watched Kyle walk away with Ira. Kyle lowered his head slightly, continuing to walk with Ira. Through serious thinking, he could almost remember what Kagen had been telling him... Maybe Kagen was correct. Maybe he remembered the field afterall... Maybe he should say something to Ira.
“What did 你 two need to talk about anyway?” Ira asked.
Kyle tensed up just slightly, not really knowing what to say and what not to say to Ira. "Well... Kagen 说 that he had something very important to tell me... Important enough that he probably wouldn't have left me alone if I didn't come here with him..." Kyle lowered his head more, hesitating just slightly. "Then... I... um... I... thought I remembered something happening in this field... with you..."
Ira turned around to face Kyle looking quite confused. “With me? When did we come here?”
Kyle bit his lip slightly, trying to remember what else had happened. He struggled to remembered what had happened in that field... Why couldn't he remember something so simple? "I... I... uh... I don't know if I can remember... All I know is... that I can remember 你 here with... Kagen and me, I think... I thought... I thought Kagen 说 something about..." He paused for a small time, not really knowing if he should continue 或者 not. "...He... 说 that he didn't think....... 你 were who 你 说 你 were......."
“… Wh-what?” Ira’s ears dropped a bit. “Why would-“ Ira looked towards Kagen then back to Kyle walking a bit closer, “I’m no one else, Kyle… you… 你 believe me, don’t you?”
Kyle felt awful. His ears laid back flat against his head as he felt guilt and even the feeling of being upset rising up in him. "I... I never 说 I didn't believe you, Ira... Maybe... Maybe Kagen was just kidding... I've never seen him say something like that before... I've never seen him be mean 或者 rude to anyone... But... maybe he really was just kidding... Maybe Kagen was just making up a story 或者 something..."
Kagen narrowed his eyes slightly, still standing stiff without a movement. "...You either believe me 或者 her, Kyle. I can't hold your hand and walk 你 through it... best friend." He replied in a flat, angry voice.
The 评论 struck Kyle hard. “Best friend” echoed in his head. His mind was cleared for a moment. This was his best friend, versus a girl he barely knew. Of course he had to choose Kagen. How could he choose otherwise? “Ira, I have to-“ then she kissed him.
Even Kagen was too surprised to actually react. Kyle himself was utterly speechless, not that he could actually speak in between a kiss. It felt like his mind was changing again. Ira… was using the kiss… to control him? He tried to fight it, but his mind was breaking in the pain of trying to regain control.
Kagen was not moving at all. He could not. Something was keeping him still. Who would stop them?
“YOU LITTLE-“ A blue ball of fury slammed into Ira, ripping her lips off Kyle. “GET YOUR LIPS OFF MY BOYFRIEND!” Casey screamed as she ripped and clawed at Ira’s face. Kyle had almost passed out with the sudden relief. He ended up falling on the still immobile Kagen, which left Ira at Casey’s unmerciful mercy.
Casey raised a fist to finish Ira off, but was sent flying high into the sky 由 a single kick. Kyle was still stunned but he could still see what was going on. He dizzily ran over and caught Casey, which gave his stomach no small amount of pain.
“Such a touching moment.” Ira smirked as she got up. No wounds appeared on her whatsoever. “You two, Kagen, Casey, I don’t have any need for.”
“What do 你 want with Kyle?!” Casey yelled angrily.
“Let’s see who acts the most surprised when I mention this.” Ira chuckled faintly. “Rasoul.”
Kyle froze at the mention of his own powers, his eyes widening 由 quite a large amount. Ira was after his powers? "Wh-What...? You're... You're after my powers...?"
Kagen's eyes widened 由 quite a bit when he heard what Ira said. He was shocked that she even know what Kyle's powers were even called.
Casey was still furious but she wanted 答案 too, so stayed silent.
Ira chuckled humorously, “In a way. I am the leader of an elite force known as the ‘Anti-Identities’. Some call that sort of thing a ‘queen’. And a ‘queen’ needs a man at her side. And while most identities fear dark energy, yours is quite… intriguing.” She took a step forward. “Did your identity friends, Ruby and I2, tell 你 who I am? 由 how surprised 你 are I’d doubt it.”
Kyle remained silent, not knowing what to say to Ira. He was so shocked, he couldn't even think clearly. "...I... don't know..." Who was he kidding? There's no way he could answer 问题 with his mind being that shocked.
Kagen didn't know what he should say, either. He remained just as silent and as shocked as Kyle did.
Ira had one last chuckle… then she transformed. From a cat to a dark brown lynx, with fiery stripes, tall ears, black and red hair that stretched down to her hips, and wearing an oriental-type red and black-striped collared, short sleeved dress, with black and red boots. “My name,” She finished, “is Virus.”
Kagen stood in pure shock, staring at this dark brown lynx with wide eyes. His wide-eyed face was, however, soon replaced 由 a look of anger. He released a quiet growl, ready to try to protect his best friend in any way possible if this girl tried to attack.
“You know what?” The lynx began, “I have a proposal.”
"You... 你 have a what...?" Kyle asked, his ears laying back against his head.
Without moving a finger, both Ruby and I2 appeared in front of Kyle, Kagen, and Casey.
“Let me guess,” Casey put in, “If we beat you, we get those two back?”
Virus laughed at this remark, “No- ha- no. To get THEM back, 你 have to beat THEM in a fight.” And then both Ruby and I2 lit up red. “Me fighting 你 would be much too easy.
Kagen didn't say anything, either out of pure shock of what was happening, 或者 the fact that he couldn't stand the thought of harming Ruby and I2 in any way.
Kyle's entire body tensed up imediately at the sight of Ruby and I2. He clenched his fists together tightly as his ears stood straight up in a rage. He released a very heavy, angry growl as his eyes slowly began a very slight red glow. "You expect me to fight them?! They're like family to me! I could never hurt them!" He released another angry growl, staring at Virus with a very angry glare. "Give them back!"
One might expect the villain to laugh 或者 smirk, but this one did not. Instead she kept a serious non-gleeful stare and replied calmly “Only if 你 beat them. And if 你 lose, 你 have to come with me too.” Then both Ruby and I2 charged at Kyle.
Kyle's anger was quickly replaced 由 fear as Ruby and I2 charged at him. "Why are 你 doing this to me?!" He yelled this 更多 openly than directly to someone, with many emotions and thoughts now pooling around inside him. A thin black mist slowly began to appear around his body; his Rasoul energy powers. Kyle didn't want to fight two people that he almost considered family, but it looked like he might have to just to save them and himself from Virus' plans.
“A test.” She replied calmly.
Ruby jumped over Kyle landing behind him, while I2 stayed in front. Both of them transformed their hands into sharp blades, and prepared to attack.
“I2 appears to be the 更多 skilled in fighting it seems.” Virus explained, “so hopefully this won’t be too easy for you, unless 你 are completely a waste of time.
Kyle was scared. He had never used his powers greatly in combat, and he was afraid of what the results might be. He had used his powers multiple times before, and he knew that he had little control over them 或者 what they even did at times. However, appearing to work with his emotions of anger and fear, his Rasoul energy wrapped around his hands and feet, as if ready to attack on their own. Kyle's Rasoul spread across his arms, making a small blade on each arm. Both of his now Rasoul-controlled arms raised up, as if ready to fight.
Both Identities crashed down at Kyle with their bladed-arms.
Kyle's arms both swung up, attempting to stop at least some force from the Identities' attack. His arms also released a small pulse of Rasoul energy as his arms smashed together, giving off quite a bit of force in the pulse.
A clash from the impact sounded as the two identities rebounded then kicked up at Kyle, Ruby behind his knees, and I2 at his chin.
Kyle fell 前锋, 期待 as his knees bent 前锋, 期待 from Ruby's kick, pain roaring all up and down his legs. The pain was further increased as I2's foot came up into his chin.
“There has to be 更多 in 你 then that.” Virus scolded.
Casey and Kagen attempted to tackle Virus from behind. The identity span around and slam-kicked them both into the ground, and held them there. “Let’s let the hero fight, shall we?”
Kyle spun his arm around, shooting his rasoul energy towards Ruby as a projectile. She quickly moved downward and rammed him forward. “AUGH!” Kyle braced himself, scraping his hands on the dirt and grass. He noticed that his two 老友记 were captured and darted towards their direction.
I2 appeared in front of him and began teleporting rapidly while hitting him with rapid punches. Kyle’s entire body stung with her strikes, and made it hard to concentrate. He quickly formed his energy around himself, then expanded it in all directions, burning I2 enough to stop her for the moment.
“Let them go! They didn’t do anything!” Kyle yelled as he continued his charge.
“I have a feeling you’ll be telling me that a lot.” Virus sighed. Kyle jumped at her, attempting to land a hit, but Virus quickly moved her head to the side. Kyle expected her to take this advantage to strike at him, but she simply moved out of the way.
Kyle did not have time to figure out why she did not attack, because he was soon slammed into the ground 由 I2. He felt dizzy from the impact, and nauseous as well, but he had to keep going. I2 vanished and Ruby appeared ten feet in front of Kyle, blasting red energy at him in a beam.
The hedgehog had little time to react, let alone dodge. His last resort was to shoot back with his own energy. He would not be able to overpower her energy, but maybe he could shield himself long enough to reach her.
Kyle slowly pushed towards Ruby, straining his entire body to press against her beam. This was noticed, and soon the beam was increased. It took everything Kyle had to stay on balance. “RUBY! STOP!” He yelled.
“You really think that I’d let her be able to regain her subconscious?” Virus insulted. “That works in cheesy romance films, not here.”
Kyle was sent hurdling backward, landing hard on his backside. I2 appeared over him and aimed an arm-canon at his head, preparing to blast. *POW!* A bullet shot straight through her. She did not seem damaged, but she was distracted. The enslaved identity turned and saw that the shot came from Casey, who shot her three 更多 times.
With I2 distracted, Kyle took the advantage and ran past I2, still attempting to get to Kagen and Casey. As he ran towards them, Ruby prepared to 火, 消防 again. Virus took notice of this and jumped clear out of the way.
“What?” Kyle quickly looked behind him in time to see Ruby fire. He could get away in time, that was certain, but Kagen and Casey would not make it. Kyle attempted to form a rasoul mist shield in front of him to block the energy, but the enslaved identity pressed harder and harder, while inching closer and closer.
It got to the point where Ruby was directly in front of Kyle. His shield was nearly nothing, and his own 毛皮 had burned away at his arms. Kyle’s two 老友记 were still stuck to the ground, otherwise they would have helped. All they could do was watch as Kyle burned to keep them from harm.
Finally Kyle fell back to the ground. One could not tell if he was dead, unconscious, 或者 awake. His arms were burned badly, and his energy was depleted.
Then, Ruby stopped. Kagen and Casey were released, and as soon as they figured this out, they ran over to Kyle’s side.
“You care so much for these people.” Virus noted as she walked over. “Love… such a strange thing. But sadly, from what I’ve seen, 你 don’t appear to be the type I’m looking for.” She walked off a ways and continued, “You can go I suppose, but I think I’ll take something still…”
Ruby faded back to herself, no longer in Virus’s control. But I2… I2 vanished all together. “He needs a hospital.” Virus informed with an air of humor in her tone. “It’s been fun, Kyle.” And then she also vanished.
"Kyle, man, are 你 alright?!" Kagen yelled 更多 than asking, heavy concern and fear in his normally slightly high-pitched voice. He looked around frantically at Casey and Ruby. He did notice that I2 was gone, but at the same time, he was a little 更多 worried about the health of his best friend at the moment. "We have to help him! How are we going to get him back to good health again?!"
"Kyle, man, are 你 alright?!" Kagen yelled 更多 than asking, heavy concern and fear in his normally slightly high-pitched voice. He looked around frantically at Casey and Ruby. He did notice that I2 was gone, but at the same time, he was a little 更多 worried about the health of his best friend at the moment. "We have to help him! How are we going to get him back to good health again?!"
"...Kagen... Please, calm down... I'm... I'm alright..." Kyle whispered quietly, just staring straight ahead. His voice sounded like it held a lot of sadness.
Kagen was fairly shocked to hear the sound of Kyle's voice. He was afraid that Kyle had been knocked unconscious... 或者 even dead. "Kyle, you're ok!"
"Yes.... I'm alright... I... don't really want to talk much... I'm... not in the mood..." Kyle whispered again, still just staring straight ahead.
Kagen turned away from his golden furred hedgehog friend, turning to look at Casey and Ruby again. "We have to get him some kind of medical help! He's really hurt!"
"Maybe... Maybe I can help... I might be able to use my Chaos Energy powers to heal him..." Ruby said, looking down at Kyle in concern.
"You can?!" Kagen looked at Ruby in surprise, but soon replaced his face of surprise with a face of begging. "Please, PLEASE try to heal him... Please..."
"I'll try my best... But... I need complete silence so I can concentrate..." Ruby said, still looking down at Kyle with concern. "It's fairly hard to heal someone... I need a lot of concentration..."
"Whatever 你 need... Just please help him..." Kagen 说 quietly, also looking down at Kyle.
"I'll try..." Ruby said. She then began to use her Chaos Energy to heal Kyle, concentraiting very hard.
Kyle released a very quiet, sad sigh, trying to make sure to be as quiet as possible so Ruby could concentrate while healing him. He was upset, very upset. He couldn't take his mind off of the fact that he had just fought Ruby and I2... And he couldn't take his mind off of the fact that I2 was gone.
Kagen's ears layed down slowly in sadness as he looked at Kyle. He was pretty sure that he knew what was on Kyle's mind. "...Kyle... I'm so sorry..." He whispered quietly, trying to speak to Kyle without disturbing Ruby's concentration.
"I can't do this, Kagen... I can't do this..." Kyle whispered back quietly, tears quickly beginning to well up in his eyes.
"What... What do 你 mean...?" Kagen asked, feeling slightly confused. He struggled to hold back tears in his own eyes. Seeing Kyle cry almost always made him cry himself... He felt like he always shared a strong emotional bond with Kyle.
Ruby continued to heal Kyle, still trying to keep her concentraition. She looked at Kagen just slightly, trying to tell him to be as quiet as he could.
Kagen nodded his head at Ruby, and attempted to lower his voice as much as possible when he spoke again. "What's wrong, Kyle...?"

I'm not used to being against power like that. I've fought villains before... But I've never seen anyone quite like that Virus person..." Kyle whispered quietly. "It...
