Recoloring IS art theft. But 你 don't care. How would 你 feel if this happened?:

Let's say 你 drew this really epic picture that took two days, 你 worked really hard on it, 你 tried to make the anatomy and position right. Then, somebody sees that picture and decides to take that picture, and recolors it with different colors, and crops out the parts 你 spent hours on.

It is not right to color over an art template that is NOT. YOURS.

Recoloring isn't cool. 你 shouldn't like it. Just because other people do it for 'Fun', doesn't mean 你 should follow them. It is good to practice drawing free-hand, but doing it just to 显示 off isn't the right thing.

Hah, why should we let 你 do what 你 want? This isn't YOUR world. 你 don't take control of everything. You're not the creator of all things in the planet. We shouldn't mind our own business until 你 stop what 你 are doing.

Recoloring isn't art theft, if you've asked permission from the original artist, and 你 give them image credit.

Recolor SEGA stuff, without asking, fair enough. It's not like 你 can get in touch with SEGA anyway... Even so, 你 still need to give credit to SEGA.

1. I suggest 你 go see a therapist.
2. Recoloring IS art theft, especially because you're not giving credit for the original pic to the original artist. Just draw your character. It doesn't matter if 你 suck at drawing 或者 not. Original drawings > recolors any day. Besides, are 你 getting permission from the original artist? Are 你 giving image credit to the original artist (i.e. Original image credit: *insert original artist name here* Recolor credit: Me)? If your answer to either one 或者 both of these 问题 is no, you're an art thief. I suck at drawing, but I don't recolor because it's wrong...and my computer crashed. I stick with drawing my own pictures. Bottom line: Recoloring, especially if 你 don't give credit, can get 你 in legal trouble. Legal trouble = courthouse. Courthouse = jail. 你 wouldn't want that, now, would you?
3. Stop stealing other people's characters and claiming them as your own like I've been hearing about. 你 can DRAW them, but 你 can't claim the characters as your own. Give the credit for the drawing to yourself and do something like *insert character name here* is copyright of *insert character creator's name here*.
