Story: (I don't know them very well so I may be off!) They were only friends and partners at first, being very playful and bickering towards each other, yet very supporting and loving. And eventually they admitted their feelings for each other and finally became a real couple, and even got married.
Endgame: Unknown so far.

Story: Ross had always had feelings for Rachel, but he had never dared speak them.
