I've read some pretty messed up things lol. Once I start something I have to finish it. Plus I kind of like disturbing books.

I quite like disturbing books, too. The only one I couldn't finish was a biography about a girl who developed schizophrenia at 15. I've had auditory hallucinations before and I was so scared that that was going to become my future that I had to stop. Now I know auditory hallucinations are pretty normal so I'd probably be able to read it if I found it again.

Nah. I've read some books that have had a pretty moderate emotional impact on me that were disturbing (Black Water by Joyce Carol Oates being an example. I loved that book.) but not anything that I couldn't read. I've read some nonfiction books about serial killers that were kind of graphic but they didn't bother me too much either.



I have, however, read some books where the author's writing talents were disturbing... disturbing in the fact that the author had no talent and shouldn't be writing... That'll make me drop a book pretty quickly.
