Are 威化饼, 华夫饼 square 或者 round?

I was in school kids were fighting over whether 威化饼, 华夫饼 were square 或者 round. They were also saying it was the 辩论 of the century. Even though I've only had round waffles, I'm thinking What's the point, and all it really did to me was make me want waffles.
