Would 你 be bummed to know what 你 were getting for your birthday ahead of time?

For me it's pretty much been this way for the last few years. Sometimes it's nice knowing a won't get a tacky 衬衫 but, this 年 my mother had to have my aunt order some DVDs that I'd wanted and anyway they came in so it was weird having to turn my back so my mom could hide them without me knowing where they were.
