Lucy Hale Teases Ezria Reunion On ‘Pretty…

We know it’s not over between Ezra and Aria — it was pretty clear from that enchanted moment in The Brew in the return of ‘Pretty Little Liars.’ So, does Lucy Hale have high hopes for a reunion? Well, you could say that.

“We never see the scene where Aria and Ezra say goodbye, so in my head, they really faked it. I don’t think there was ever that closure,” Lucy Hale revealed in a new interview ahead of the January 19 episode of 

. Of course, her character has now moved on with a new, completely different guy, but you know what they say about first loves… Ezria fans, brace yourself.

“They both know they weren’t necessarily the best for each other, at least where they were in their lives,” Lucy told

. “The person you’re in love with isn’t always the right person for you and that’s a hard thing to accept.”

Lucy also added that while Aria planned on putting her whole life in Rosewood behind her and “look for something new,” she can’t deny what’s there between the she and Ezra (Ian Harding). “She’ll always be in love with him. She will deny it until the end, but maybe they needed to part ways for a while to come back and be something better and stronger,” she assed. “You get to see them be there for each other in a healthy way this time around.” Catch up on Pretty Little Liars here!

As for her new beau, Liam (Roberto Aguire), we told you that they met at work — but that doesn’t men he’s completely different from Ezra. And, there are more triangle scenes to come. “He actually reminds me a lot of Ezra, so clearly Aria has a type — physically and mentally,” Lucy said. “She really likes the smart ones, and he’s really grounded. A lot of my storyline this season is the three of us. There’s a little bit of friction there, but Liam is a very smart, put-together guy, and I want to believe Aria is very in love with him.”
