Chapter 1: Late

We zoom into the Central Park zoo and head inside the Penguin's habitat to see Skipper pacing back and forth, holding his cup of 鱼 coffee. "She's late. This is the 秒 time that she has been scheduled to come and train." He looks over at Kowalski." Kowalski, give me one reason why we let her 加入 the team"

Quickly, the strategist took out his notes "Well, Skipper, because with out our time raising her she would of been left for dead in the middle of winter, and Private did not want that to happen. Soon you-"

Skipper had a bored expression on his face."Yeah, I know the deal Kowalski. It was a rhetorical question". With that Kowalski put up his notes, and in came Private.

"What's all this about?" He questioned

The leader looked at the pare shaped soldier. "Cadet. It's about Cadet. She's late for training, again."

Private tapped his flippers together; he wanted to stick up for his best friend. "Well, maybe 你 forgot to tell her about it." He looked up at his commander.

"Nugatory, Private, I gave her, her own training schedule, and I told her if she was late it will count on extra night shifts and exercises." He took a drink of his coffee and looked at the time. Just then he heard the voice of a familiar otter.

"Hey guys! What's up?" No doubt it was the voice of Marlene, who was accompanied 由 Brandon.

"What's up, dudes? He said, giving Rico a high five. Skipper how ever wasn't in the mood with this.

"Yes, Marlene, what is it?" He took another sip of his coffee.

"Nothing Skipper, just saying hi and catching up on what's going on." Marlene 说 plainly, obviously catching Skipper's mood. They soon started a small moody conversation.

"What's up with him?" Brandon mouthed to Private, who responded with pointing at the clock tower. Brandon had a confused look on his face and shrugged. Rico simply told him.

"Cadet not here." He simply replied.

Marlene rolled her eyes apparently her and Skipper's conversation was really short. "Is that all, Skipper? That's nothing to be mad about. I mean can't 你 just go and get her?"

"No, Marlene it would mean sending one of my men to the new part of the zoo, and that would waist even 更多 of their time and would have to make it up with Cadet."

Marlene sighed. "You just have to make things so difficult. Why can't 你 just have the training end at the same time, there's no need to make up an exercise."

"Marlene if I let that happen then the schedule would be a wreck. We'll have one soldier who didn't have the right amount of exercise for that day, therefore he 或者 she will be weaker, and inexperienced at something. This is the first thing that 你 get taught at, where I got taught. If 你 want to go and get her be-"

"I'll go get her." Brandon responded quickly. Everyone looked at him with blank expressions. He rubbed the back of his head,” what? The 更多 we stand here the 更多 你 get less training. Am I right?" Yeah that's the reason. He thought. He actually had a little crush on Cadet, ok maybe it was a big crush, and he just wanted to be face to face with her, where no one could 问题 him on why his eyes would always locate her. The other side of the zoo was a long way from here and that could give him his chance.

"Skipper it would give us time to at least start today's routine." Kowalski suggested.

Skipper stared at Brandon with narrowed eyes. What was this 獭, 水獭 planning? He had noticed that every time Cadet would come around he would always look at her. "Fine, 你 can go get her. But come right back. She has no time to waste."

Brandon jumped out of the penguin's habitat and onto the outside, he started to walk back words, "Of course, who am I to waste a soldier from her work. See 你 in a few Marlene." and with that he took off.
